Yin & Yang 2026 in Dubai

Yin & Yang in Dubai is a poetic one-woman show written and performed by Ekaterina Kopeeva, coming to the Theatre of Digital Art (ToDA) on Thursday 5 November 2026. Doors open at 6:30pm and the performance begins at 7pm, running for around two hours. It is a show about the light and darkness inside each of us, and about strength and vulnerability, love, fear and the search for inner balance.

If you like your theatre quiet, personal and a little reflective, this is worth a look: one performer, her own words, and a stage built to carry them.

A poetry evening that becomes a stage story

At the heart of Yin & Yang is Ekaterina Kopeeva’s own poetry, but the show is not staged as a straightforward reading. Her poems are combined with acting, music and visual atmosphere to form one coherent stage story, so the evening moves as a single performance rather than a sequence of separate pieces.

The organisers describe it as more than an evening of poetry. The aim is an emotional journey in which each member of the audience may recognise something of themselves, which makes it a show to sit with rather than simply watch.

The ideas behind the title

The title points to the thread running through the whole show: that opposites live side by side in all of us. Light and darkness, strength and vulnerability, love and fear are not set up as battles to be won, but as parts of the same person. The performance follows the search for a balance between them.

That framing gives the evening a gentle, introspective tone. It is less about plot and more about feeling, carried by the rhythm of the poems and the way music and visuals shift around them.

Ekaterina Kopeeva on stage

As both writer and performer, Ekaterina Kopeeva delivers her own words, which gives the show a direct, unfiltered quality. There is no ensemble to share the stage and no narrator between performer and audience. For two hours, the evening rests on one voice, which is exactly what fans of solo theatre tend to look for.

The listing does not say which language the show is performed in, so check with the ticket seller if that matters for your group.

Who it suits

Yin & Yang suits poetry lovers, theatregoers who enjoy intimate solo performances, and anyone drawn to work that explores emotions and inner life. It is a thoughtful choice for a midweek date night or an evening with a friend who appreciates something away from mainstream entertainment. The age restriction is 12+, so it can also work for older children and teenagers with an interest in poetry or drama.

If you cannot make it, the listing notes that tickets can be exchanged with another fan through Platinumlist.

Booking Yin & Yang

Tickets are advertised from AED 250. Compare the available categories before choosing, and confirm the performance language directly with the organiser if you are booking for a group with different language preferences. The published event information gives a 12+ age restriction, but personal interest in poetry and a two-hour solo performance matters as much as age when deciding whether it will suit a younger guest. Save the confirmation and check the current arrival and admission instructions before travelling.
