About this event

The International Breakfast Buffet at Reef & Beef Steakhouse & Seafood is a daily morning spread in Downtown Dubai, served from 7am to 11am with a view of Burj Khalifa. It is a steakhouse by night, but in the morning the dining room turns into a relaxed buffet breakfast, with coffee, tea and breakfast drinks included and valet parking taken care of.

Because it runs every day of the week, it works as well for a quick working breakfast on a Tuesday as it does for a slow family morning at the weekend. The current listing covers mornings through to the end of February 2027, which takes in the whole of Dubai’s cooler season.

Reef & Beef: a steakhouse on the Boulevard

Reef & Beef describes itself as one of Dubai’s premier steakhouse and fine dining destinations, built around signature steaks and fresh seafood. It is the Dubai outpost of a concept created by restaurateur Mansour Bassam, who also runs Reef & Beef restaurants in Düsseldorf and Cologne in Germany.

The Dubai restaurant sits on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, the main loop road through Downtown Dubai, with Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall a few minutes away. It is a large space, at roughly 1,166 square metres, designed by the Dubai studio Design By Mahsa (DBM). The brief mixed 1920s New York styling with Middle Eastern and Persian touches, and it shows in the details:

  • The Grand Dining Gallery: the main room, with ceilings reaching seven metres, quarter-booth seating, white tablecloths, a chandelier array and a seven-metre wine wall holding more than 900 bottles.
  • The Night Lounge: a moodier space in deep red tones, with vertical glass pipes and more than 20 convex mirrors.
  • An outdoor area: the third of the restaurant’s three dining zones.

The palette across the restaurant runs from charcoal to black, with wood, greenery and warm lighting. Eating breakfast in a room built for steak dinners is part of the appeal: it feels more like a special occasion than a hotel coffee shop.

What the breakfast includes

The buffet is billed as an international breakfast of freshly prepared favourites, with a wide selection rather than a fixed set menu. The restaurant does not publish a dish-by-dish list, so expect the choice to vary, and ask the team on the day if you are looking for something specific.

Your booking covers:

  • The full international breakfast buffet
  • Coffee, tea and breakfast beverages, as per the package you choose
  • Full breakfast service throughout buffet hours
  • Complimentary valet parking
  • A table with a Burj Khalifa view

Transport to and from the restaurant, extra drinks outside your package and personal expenses are not included. If you want fresh juices, speciality coffees or anything beyond the breakfast drinks, check what your package covers when you book.

Who it suits

The 7am opening makes this a practical choice for anyone working in Downtown or DIFC who wants a proper sit-down breakfast before the day begins, or for a breakfast meeting in a smarter setting than a café. Later in the morning, it suits:

  • Visitors staying in Downtown: an easy first stop before the Dubai Mall or the Burj Khalifa observation decks.
  • Families: the listing has a child ticket for ages 3 to 17, with a discount for children applied at the venue, while adults are counted as 18 and over.
  • Friends catching up: the four-hour serving window means nobody has to rush.

The dress code is smart casual. The room has white tablecloths and a dramatic wine wall, so neat daytime clothes feel right, though there is no need to dress up as you would for dinner.

If breakfast wins you over, Reef & Beef runs other daytime offers too, including a three-course business lunch served daily from 1pm to 6pm, and it has also hosted a Saturday and Sunday brunch. Breakfast is the most relaxed of the three, and the easiest way to see the dining room in daylight.

Booking and getting there

Advance reservations are recommended, and the restaurant asks guests to arrive on time to make the most of the buffet before it closes at 11am. Plans can change without penalty: cancellation or rescheduling is allowed up to four days before your breakfast, which is more flexible than many Dubai dining deals.

  • By car: the booking lists the address as Boulevard Point, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard. GPS is recommended, and valet parking is complimentary.
  • By taxi or ride-hailing: the restaurant is easy to reach by any taxi or app, and is minutes from Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall.

Breakfast here fits naturally into a Downtown day: the Dubai Mall, the Dubai Fountain promenade and Souk Al Bahar are all close by. For more ideas, see our dinner and brunch guide, the best things to do in Dubai, the city’s top attractions, and what is coming up in our November guide.
