About this event

The Sheraton JBR day pass gives you a day on the sand in Dubai without booking a room: access to the temperature-controlled outdoor pool and private white-sand beach at Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort, right next to The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence. Changing rooms and showers are included, so you can come straight from home or work, swim, sunbathe and freshen up before you leave.

What the Sheraton JBR day pass includes

The pass covers daytime use of the resort’s outdoor pool and private beach during operational hours, plus the changing rooms and showers. It does not include accommodation, food and drinks, transfers or any other resort services that are not listed, so treat it as a ticket to the pool and beach and budget separately for lunch or a drink by the water.

Around the main pool and beach you will find day beds, loungers and umbrellas, which makes it easy to set up for several hours. The pool is temperature-controlled, which keeps it comfortable for a long swim whatever the sea is doing.

A quieter stretch of JBR beach

The resort sits on Al Sufouh Road at the Dubai Marina end of the JBR shoreline. The public beach along The Walk is one of the busiest in the city, with cafés, crowds and constant movement. The Sheraton’s private beach sits right beside all that, but feels noticeably calmer, which is the main reason people buy a day pass here rather than spreading a towel on the public sand.

The atmosphere is family-friendly and relaxed rather than a party scene. Most guests come to swim, read and watch the sea, and step out onto The Walk if they want lunch, coffee or a stroll later in the afternoon.

Bringing the children

The day pass has two ticket types: adults, which covers anyone aged 12 and over, and children aged 2 to 11. Children have their own pool area alongside the main pool, and the ticket listing says children up to 12 can join complimentary activities such as arts and crafts, games and workshops. That gives parents some breathing space while the kids stay busy.

For older children and adults who want more action, water sports are run on the beach by Sky & Sea Adventures. These are charged separately and are not part of the day pass.

How to plan your beach day

Bring a valid original ID, either your passport or Emirates ID, as it is required at entry. Appropriate swimwear is required at all times in the pool and beach areas. Passes cannot be cancelled or changed once booked, so pick your date with your plans in mind.

The ticket listing has noted that the women’s recreation locker room was being renovated over the summer and that guests should use the resort’s guest bathrooms and outdoor showers in the meantime. If that matters to you, ask about the current status when you arrive.

Getting to Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort

By Metro, take the Red Line to DMCC station and walk for around 15 minutes, or change to the Dubai Tram and get off at JBR Stop 2. Buses 8 and 84 also serve the area with a Nol card. By car or taxi, take Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), exit towards Dubai Marina and JBR, and follow the signs to Al Mamsha Road. Taxis, Uber and Careem can drop you at the hotel entrance.

Who it suits

The pass suits residents who want a beach day without the effort of finding space on the public beach, visitors staying in city hotels without a beach of their own, and families who want a pool for the children with the sea a few steps away. It also works as a half-day reset between other plans in the Marina.
