The Lunch & Dinner Set Menu at Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar is a three-course meal at Atlantis The Palm in Dubai, built on the relaxed British and European cooking that made the original London restaurant a hit. From London to the Palm

Bread Street Kitchen opened in London on 26 October 2011 in the One New Change development on Bread Street, a short walk from St Paul’s Cathedral. It is Gordon Ramsay’s take on casual dining: a buzzy, warehouse-style space with an open kitchen, a raw bar and a wood-burning oven, and a wine balcony in London holding around 2,000 bottles.

The Dubai branch followed in October 2015 at Atlantis The Palm, around the same time as outposts in Singapore and Hong Kong. It carries over the same mix of British comfort food and European bistro cooking, served in a lively room with a bar and outdoor seating for cooler evenings.

Atlantis The Palm itself opened in 2008 at the tip of Palm Jumeirah, so a meal here puts you in the middle of one of Dubai’s best-known resorts, with the Lost Chambers Aquarium and Aquaventure a short walk away.

Who is Gordon Ramsay?

Gordon Ramsay is the British chef whose restaurants have earned a string of Michelin stars, led by his flagship Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, London. Most people know him from television, through shows such as Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares and MasterChef. Bread Street Kitchen is the more relaxed side of his empire: food built for sharing a table rather than hushed fine dining.

What the set menu includes

The set menu is three courses, served at either lunch or dinner. The listing names one dish in particular: fish and chips in craft beer batter, the kind of British classic the restaurant is known for. The full course list is not published and the menu is fixed, so anything ordered beyond it is paid for at the restaurant.

The wider Bread Street Kitchen menu is known for dishes such as its beef short rib burger, mutton pie and suckling pig in London, so expect the same hearty, unfussy style rather than fine dining.

• Lunch: Sunday to Friday, 12pm to 3pm.
• Sunday dinner: 6pm to 10pm.
• Monday to Wednesday: 12pm to 10pm.
• Thursday and Friday: 12pm to 11pm.
• Saturday: dinner only, 6pm to 10pm.

In practice, that means a weekday lunch is the easiest option for a quick meal, while Thursday and Friday evenings give you the longest window for a relaxed dinner.

Who it suits

• Fans of Gordon Ramsay who want to try one of his restaurants without committing to a long tasting menu.
• Families: children aged 0 to 3 do not need a ticket, and children aged 4 to 11 can order from the kids’ à la carte menu, paid at the venue.
• Atlantis visitors: a sit-down meal before or after Aquaventure or the Lost Chambers Aquarium, both part of the resort.
• Couples and friends: a lively room for a casual dinner on the Palm.

The dress code is smart casual. Shorts and shirts are allowed with appropriate footwear, and UAE national dress is welcome. The same rules apply to children.

Booking rules

• Reservations are for a minimum of two guests, and everyone must arrive together and be present at seating. Each booking needs a unique guest name.
• If you are running more than 15 minutes late, call +971 4 426 2626. Tables can be released after 15 minutes without notice.
• Discounts and vouchers cannot be combined with other promotions, events or brunches.
• Cancellation is possible without charge up to 24 hours before your booking. Later cancellations and no-shows are charged in full.

Getting there

• By car: follow signs from Sheikh Zayed Road to Palm Jumeirah and on to Atlantis The Palm. Valet parking is included.
• By Metro: take the Red Line to Dubai Internet City station, then a taxi to Atlantis.
• By monorail: the Palm Jumeirah Monorail runs directly to Atlantis.
• By taxi or app: Careem, Uber and Dubai Taxi all serve the resort.
