Earthy Elegance DIY Studio at Black Bunny in Dubai is a hands-on craft corner inside the Al Quoz family entertainment venue, where you make your own lipstick, lip balm, soap, body scrub or candle and take it home the same day. It is a calmer counterpoint to the trampolines and bowling lanes around it, and one of the few activities at Black Bunny that ends with something you can actually use.

No experience is needed. Each session is guided by the studio’s facilitators, who set up the table, talk you through the process and help you personalise your creation.

What you can make

The studio offers five activities, and you can book anything from one to all five in a single visit:

• Lipstick: mix and colour your own shade with cosmetic pigments
• Lip balm: a softer, everyday option built on natural butters
• Soap: scented and coloured bars to use at home or give away
• Body scrub: the studio’s supplies include coffee, a classic scrub base
• Candles: poured and scented to your choice

The studio describes its creations as premium, sustainable and organic. Supplies include organic ingredients, essential oils, shea butter, cocoa butter, coffee, pigments and natural fragrances, so most of the decisions you make are about colour, scent and finish.

Every item goes home in custom packaging, which makes the finished pieces work well as small gifts, party favours or a souvenir of a family day out.

How booking works

Tickets are built around the number of activities you choose. There are adult or kids tickets for one, two, three, four or five activities, separate kids-only options, and bundles for groups of five people doing the same number of activities. There is also an additional guest ticket, so a parent or friend can join a booking.

The studio can host up to 25 guests at a time in each hourly slot, and there is no minimum group size. That flexibility is useful: a single child can drop in for one candle, while a birthday party or a group of colleagues can take over the tables for a couple of hours.

Bookings are non-cancellable and cannot be changed once made, so settle on your activities and group size before you check out.

Who it suits

The studio is pitched at a wide range of people: families, children, couples, groups of friends, tourists, birthday parties and corporate team-building groups. The only age rule on the listing is that the experience is not suitable for children under three.

Making a day of it at Black Bunny

Because the studio sits inside Black Bunny, it is easy to combine with the venue’s other attractions. Black Bunny is a two-level, neon-lit indoor venue with a trampoline park, multi-level soft play, mini go-karts, a climbing wall, VR experiences, eight bowling lanes, billiards and more than 45 arcade machines, plus a café. The brand began in Surat, India, in 2022, and the Al Quoz site, which opened in October 2025, is its first in the UAE. The DIY studio’s own listing points visitors towards soft play sessions and a game of bowling as natural add-ons, booked separately.

A typical plan for a family might be an energetic hour in the play zones followed by a seated craft session, which gives younger children a chance to cool down and leaves everyone with something to take home. Older children and adults might flip that order, starting with a candle or soap and finishing on the bowling lanes upstairs.

Getting there

Black Bunny opens from 9am to 9pm, Monday to Thursday, and from 10am to 10pm, Friday to Sunday. The listing does not give separate hours for the DIY studio, so choose your hourly slot when booking and check availability for larger groups. The studio is inside Black Bunny in Shed B9 of the Al Ghurair Warehouse Complex, Al Quoz 3. There is on-site parking. By Metro, take the Red Line to Onpassive or Equiti station, then a taxi of five to ten minutes.
