Quick answer: The cheapest way to get concert tickets in Dubai is to register for the presale the day a show is announced, pick upper-level or restricted-view seats, check your bank card offers (Emirates NBD cardholders get presale access at Coca-Cola Arena), watch for flash sales such as Live Nation’s Concert Week, and only buy from official sellers: reselling is illegal in Dubai and resold tickets can be refused at the door.
Dubai gets some of the biggest tours in the world, and the tickets are rarely cheap. The good news is that the price you pay depends a lot on how and when you buy. Fans who register for presales, pick the right seats and stick to official sellers regularly pay far less than people who wait for general sale or buy from a reseller. This guide covers everything that actually works in the UAE, with sources, so you can check every claim yourself.
Quick wins
- Register for the presale the day a show is announced. Presales open before general sale and often include the cheapest tickets.
- Buy only from the venue or its authorised sellers. Tickets from unofficial resellers can be refused at the door.
- Check your bank card. Emirates NBD cardholders get presale access and selected discounts at Coca-Cola Arena.
- Upper levels and restricted-view seats are the cheapest way into a sold-out show.
- Use Tabby to split the cost into interest-free instalments on Platinumlist and Coca-Cola Arena.
1. Buy only from official sellers
The single biggest saving is not losing your money altogether. Every major UAE venue publishes the sellers it accepts, and tickets bought anywhere else may not get you in.
| Venue | Official ways to buy |
|---|---|
| Coca-Cola Arena, Dubai | coca-cola-arena.com, Platinumlist, Virgin Tickets, Ticketmaster, Webook, District by Zomato, Rayna Tours, and the box office between Entrances C and D |
| Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi | The event’s listed ticket partner. District by Zomato became an official ticketing partner in July 2026 |
| Dubai Opera | dubaiopera.com and the box office in Opera Plaza |
Coca-Cola Arena states that tickets bought from unauthorised sources will not be accepted, and that reselling tickets is not allowed. Transfers to friends and family are fine, but only the first scan of a ticket is valid, so a ticket that has been copied and sold twice only works once. (Coca-Cola Arena FAQ)
Not sure which seller a show uses? Every event on our Concerts in Dubai page links straight to its official ticket page.
2. Get presale access before general sale
Most big concerts in the UAE now sell in stages. The cheapest categories usually go first, so being in the earliest stage is the easiest way to pay less.
How presales work in the UAE
A typical sequence looks like this: an artist or promoter presale, then a venue presale, then general sale a day or so later. For Pitbull at Coca-Cola Arena, the Live Nation and venue presales opened at noon on 16 October 2025, with general sale the following day. (source)
Coldplay’s Abu Dhabi shows followed the same pattern: a Ticketmaster presale, then a Live Nation presale, then general sale on consecutive days. Fans had to register in advance, presale access was unique to each person, and registering did not guarantee a ticket. The cheapest option was a limited “Infinity Ticket” at Dh81.78. (Khaleej Times)
Where to register
- Venue pages: Coca-Cola Arena event pages carry a “Register for Pre-Sale” form. Sign up as soon as a show is announced.
- Platinumlist: big shows often open pre-registration on Platinumlist before the presale. David Guetta’s 2025 Dubai date worked this way. (Gulf News)
- Promoters: create accounts with Live Nation Middle East and Ticketmaster UAE so you are ready when a presale code arrives.
- The artist: fan club and mailing list presales are common for international tours.
On the day, log in a few minutes early, have your card saved, and know which category you want before the queue opens.
Bank presales: Emirates NBD at Coca-Cola Arena
In October 2025, Emirates NBD became the Official Banking Partner of Coca-Cola Arena in a two-year deal. Cardholders get presale access, discounts on selected general admission tickets, food and drink combos and parking benefits. (Dubai Media Office) The exact discount varies by show, so check the event page and your Emirates NBD app when tickets are announced.
3. Watch for flash sales
Every so often, promoters run short sales with heavily discounted tickets. The best known is Live Nation’s Concert Week UAE, which ran from 12 to 18 May 2025 with Dh99 tickets for more than 25 shows, a maximum of two tickets per person, while stock lasted. Eligible shows were tagged “Concert Week Promotion”. (Gulf News, What’s On)
A 2026 edition has not been announced at the time of writing. Follow Live Nation Middle East and venue newsletters so you hear about the next one. Public holidays are also worth watching, as some shows have run one-off discounts around UAE National Day.
4. Choose the right seat for your budget
Coca-Cola Arena
The arena holds up to 17,000 people across five levels. The floor is standing or seated depending on the show. Higher levels cost less, and many shows have excellent sightlines from the lower bowl without paying for the Golden Circle. (The National) Layouts change from show to show, so always check that event’s seat map before you buy. For most events, the system assigns the best available seat within the category you choose.
Dubai Opera
Dubai Opera sells restricted-view seats for some performances, and concessions apply to selected shows only. These are listed on each event page. Groups of more than 10 can book through the box office. (Dubai Opera FAQ)
Etihad Arena
Categories and layouts vary by event, so compare the seat map on the official ticket page for each show and check which categories are still available before choosing.
5. Spread the cost with Tabby
If the price is the problem rather than the total, instalments help. Platinumlist accepts Tabby (interest-free instalments, subject to approval) alongside cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and its own Platinumlist Wallet. (Platinumlist) Coca-Cola Arena event pages also show “Payment by installments with Tabby available”. Only use instalments for tickets you could afford anyway, and make sure each payment date suits you.
6. Check your bank card and loyalty offers
UAE banks regularly run entertainment offers, but most are targeted and time-limited, so the only reliable way to know what you can get is to check your banking app before you buy. As an example, Emirates NBD offers 25% off La Perle tickets for targeted cardholders until April 2027. (terms) Look under “Offers” or “Lifestyle” in your app, and read the terms: most offers only apply when you pay with the named card.

7. Free and low-cost live music
Not every great night out needs a big ticket.
- Global Village: Season 31 opened on 14 October 2026 and runs to May 2027, with live entertainment on its stages. Tickets are Dh25 on weekdays and Dh30 from Friday to Sunday and on public holidays. Under-3s, over-65s and People of Determination enter free. (Khaleej Times)
- City festivals: Dubai Summer Surprises 2026 opened with free live entertainment in malls. Keep an eye on the official Dubai events calendar for seasonal festivals.
- Our listings: see things to do this weekend and What’s On for smaller gigs, which are often far cheaper than arena shows.
8. Avoid resale scams and fines
A “cheap” ticket from a stranger is the most expensive mistake you can make in Dubai.
- It is against the rules. Under Dubai Executive Council Resolution No. 1 of 2015, selling tickets without an e-code or outside the official eTicketing system, or reselling used tickets, can be fined AED 10,000, with fines doubling for repeat offences. (Dubai Legislation Portal)
- You may be refused entry. Platinumlist says tickets bought from unauthorised resellers such as Viagogo will be refused, and that tickets are issued in the buyer’s and cardholder’s name. (Platinumlist help centre)
- Fake sites copy real brands. Dubai Police have warned about fake ticket websites and social media accounts using organisers’ branding. Check the web address, be suspicious of prices that look too good, and report scams through the Dubai Police app, by calling 901 or via eCrime. (Gulf News)
- Already bought from a reseller? Platinumlist advises contacting your bank to dispute the payment, ideally as soon as possible, as disputes may not be possible after about three months.
9. If your concert is cancelled
Buying from official sellers also protects you if plans change. When several Abu Dhabi shows were cancelled in 2026, including Christina Aguilera and The Corrs, refunds went automatically to the original payment method or point of purchase. (Gulf Business) Platinumlist tickets are generally non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled, and QR codes appear in the app 48 hours before the show.
Your concert ticket checklist

- Presale day: log in early with your card saved.
- Missed out? Try general sale, then the venue box office, but never a reseller.
- 48 hours before: check your tickets have appeared in the app.
