The UK-UAE Business Corridor webinar is a 90-minute online session for Dubai and UK companies, organised by Dubai Chambers with the UAE law firm Hadef & Partners on Thursday 5 November 2026. Running on Zoom under the full title “UK-UAE Business Corridor: Setting Up, Tax and Exit”, it is presented in English and walks through the whole life of a business that operates between Britain and the Emirates, from the first decision on structure to the day an owner considers selling.
The session starts at 2pm UAE time, which in November is 10am in London, so teams in both countries can log in during normal working hours.
Why the UK-UAE Business Corridor Webinar Matters Now
Trade between Dubai and the United Kingdom has grown quickly in recent years: Dubai’s non-oil trade with the UK almost doubled between 2021 and 2025, according to Dubai Chambers. The chamber has been building on that link, holding an open dialogue in London with the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry in June 2026 and signing an agreement under which it helps London-based companies grow their operations in Dubai, while the London chamber helps Dubai investors find opportunities in the UK capital.
This webinar is the practical side of that relationship. British businesses looking at the Emirates tend to ask the same questions: how to set up, which legal vehicle to use, what UAE corporate tax means for them and what happens when they want to exit. Rather than treating each of those in isolation, the session joins them up, so that the choices made at the start support where the owners want to end up.
The Four Topics on the Agenda
Setting up in the UAE
The first part covers the practical steps of establishing a business in the UAE, including the choice between mainland and free zone options, and the legal framework UK companies should understand before they commit. For a British firm, this is often the decision that shapes everything else, from where it can trade to how it is licensed.
Branch or company, and the tax that follows
Next comes the question of vehicle: opening a branch of the UK business or forming a separate company. This part looks at the UAE corporate tax position of each, how profits are repatriated to the UK and the reliefs that may be available. These are frequently the points that decide which structure makes sense.
Recent UAE corporate tax reforms
The webinar then turns to recent reforms to UAE corporate tax and the key changes to consider when planning a new structure or restructuring an existing one. For businesses that set up before corporate tax arrived in the Emirates, this section is a useful check on whether their arrangements still fit.
Ten legal steps before a sale
Finally, the speakers set out ten key legal steps for UAE business owners considering a sale. Even if an exit feels a long way off, knowing these steps early can change how a company is structured and documented today.
Hadef & Partners and Dubai Chambers
Hadef & Partners is an independent UAE law firm founded in 1980 by Dr Hadef Al Dhaheri, who served as the UAE’s Federal Minister of Justice between 2008 and 2014 before returning to the firm as founding partner. It has more than 100 lawyers across its offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and has chosen to stay focused on UAE law rather than open offices abroad, which makes it a natural partner for a session on how UAE structures and tax rules work in practice.
The firm has worked with Dubai Chambers on online sessions before, including a webinar on protecting intellectual property in the UAE. Dubai Chambers also runs legal workshops for its members on subjects such as corporate tax, and this corridor webinar brings that kind of briefing to a cross-border audience.
Who Should Log In
The webinar is aimed at UK and UAE businesses working across the corridor. It will suit UK founders and companies weighing a UAE presence, UAE businesses with UK links, and owners who are already established and are starting to think about restructuring or a future sale. Accountants, lawyers and other advisers who support clients in both markets may also find it a concise update on recent tax changes. A short list of questions about your own setup, tax position or exit plans will help you focus on the parts that apply to you.
Joining Online
There is no physical venue: the session takes place on Zoom, and registration is through the forms linked from the Dubai Chambers event page, which then provides the joining details. Because it is online, it is as easy to attend from London or Manchester as from Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
