The Communication Advantage Masterclass 2026 in Dubai

The Communication Advantage Masterclass in Dubai is an interactive breakfast workshop from the British Chamber of Commerce Dubai (BCCD) at Radisson RED Dubai Silicon Oasis on Tuesday 10 November 2026. Titled “The Communication Advantage: How to Connect, Influence and Create Impact”, the two-hour morning session is led by trainer and author Neil Orvay, with breakfast included.

The session runs between 8am and 10am, so it is designed to fit before the working day: practical techniques for meetings, presentations and everyday conversations at work, delivered in an interactive format rather than a lecture.

Neil Orvay: The Trainer Behind the Masterclass

Neil Orvay is a returning favourite at the chamber, having run BCCD masterclasses in 2023, 2024 and 2025. He began his career in investment banking in 1990 and spent 13 years in capital markets in London, Sydney, Singapore and Hong Kong before turning entrepreneur. In 2009 he founded Evolution-U, a training and coaching company, and his team profile lists him as based in Dubai and Hong Kong. Evolution-U is known for psychology-based business training, including programmes for the spa industry, and Neil was listed among the winners of Corporate Vision magazine’s Coaching Elite awards in 2018.

He is a certified Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) trainer, a Timeline Therapy trainer and an ICF-accredited business coach. His education adds a negotiation angle: a BSc in Accountancy and Financial Analysis from the London School of Economics and an Executive Master’s in International Negotiation and Policy Making from the Graduate Institute in Geneva.

Over the years he has designed courses on communication, sales psychology, negotiation, influence and persuasion, unconscious bias, inclusive leadership, psychometric profiling, personal empowerment, executive presence and personal branding. According to BCCD, his courses have reached more than 10,000 senior executives and middle managers around the world. Chamber members may also know him from BCCD’s “Don’t Do That, Do This!” podcast, where he appeared in an August 2025 episode on the art of negotiation.

The Book: Communication Advantage

The masterclass shares its name with Neil’s 2026 book, “Communication Advantage: Master the Human Skills AI Can’t Replace”. BCCD notes that it reached number one on Amazon’s bestseller lists in the UAE and the Netherlands and was a number one new release in the USA. The book is aimed at executives and younger professionals alike, and, as the subtitle suggests, it focuses on the human skills of communication that AI cannot replace, the same skills this masterclass puts into practice.

What the Communication Advantage Masterclass in Dubai Covers

BCCD has set out clear learning outcomes for the two hours. The first is building rapport quickly with colleagues, clients and stakeholders, and adapting your message to different audiences and settings. The second is presenting ideas with clarity and confidence, whether you are in a boardroom, on a video call or pitching across a coffee table.

The session then turns to influence: how to persuade without being pushy and keep relationships positive and constructive while you do it. You will also practise active listening and asking better questions, and pick up approaches for handling difficult conversations calmly. Finally, the masterclass looks at how body language and tone of voice can strengthen your message, or quietly undermine it.

Because the format is interactive, it helps to come with a real communication situation from your own work in mind, such as a tricky client meeting or a presentation you keep putting off, so you can apply the techniques on the spot.

BCCD has pitched the session at a broad professional audience: business leaders and senior managers, team leaders and people managers, sales, business development and client-facing professionals, marketing and communications specialists, entrepreneurs and business owners, and early-career professionals building presence and influence. If your role involves persuading, presenting or leading people, the content is directly relevant, and it works well as a team development morning, with everyone back at work soon after the session wraps up at 10am.

The dress code is business attire. Places are confirmed only once payment is received, and cash is not accepted. You can cancel until 11:59am on Friday 6 November 2026; after that, no-show charges apply. Photos and videos may be taken during the session and shared on social media, and attending implies consent to BCCD using them.

The masterclass takes place at Radisson RED Dubai Silicon Oasis, in Dubai Digital Park within Dubai Silicon Oasis. Self-parking is available at the hotel, which makes driving an easy option for an 8am start.
