About this event

Imaginary Dubai Show 2026 in Dubai is the latest gastro-theatre production at KRASOTA, the 20-seat immersive dining room inside Address Downtown, running from Friday 20 November to Sunday 6 December. Over one evening, six chapters of projected storytelling and six courses by chef Vladimir Mukhin trace the city from its scholarly and seafaring past, through its present, to an imagined future, finishing with petits fours on the terrace facing the Burj Khalifa.

What is KRASOTA?

KRASOTA opened at Address Downtown in April 2023 as the newest concept from the White Rabbit Family, the restaurant group founded by restaurateur Boris Zarkov and known for Moscow’s White Rabbit. It calls itself a gastro theatre: a circular room where a single round table seats 20 guests, and images are projected across the curved walls and the table itself, so the room becomes part of the meal.

The visuals are created by film director and co-owner Anton Nenashev, the interiors were designed by Natalia Belonogova, and the menus are the work of Vladimir Mukhin, who creates a dish for each act of every show. The circular layout is deliberate: projected images flow around the room without breaking at corners. KRASOTA has been recognised by Gault & Millau UAE 2025, La Liste’s Top 1000 and Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice.

How the format works

The concept is rooted in synaesthesia, the idea of one sense triggering another, so taste, sight and sound are meant to be experienced together. Reviewers of earlier shows have described an interactive tablecloth and a projection surface that doubles as a canvas, with each course arriving as the visuals around it change. When KRASOTA launched in 2023, its first show ran to eight courses and eight visual acts; Imaginary Dubai is a more compact six chapters and six courses, which keeps the evening focused on a single story.

The six chapters of Imaginary Dubai

KRASOTA’s earlier productions include Imaginary Art, built around the work of Russian painters such as Ivan Aivazovsky and Mikhail Vrubel, as well as Imaginary Future and Imaginary Russia. This show turns to the city outside. Each chapter has its own theme, projection and dish:

  • Chapter one: the scientific legacy of the Arab world, opening with the region’s contribution to knowledge and learning.
  • Chapter two: the pearl divers, and the courage of the men who once worked the Gulf’s waters.
  • Chapter three: the ancient desert trade routes that linked the coast with the interior.
  • Chapter four: Emirati heritage and hospitality, a fitting theme for a dinner table.
  • Chapter five: modern Dubai, the city as it stands today.
  • Chapter six: an imagined future, picturing what Dubai could become.

The production is described as AI-powered gastro theatre, combining immersive visual storytelling with the food, so the courses and projections are designed to work together rather than as dinner with a screen.

The venue: Address Downtown

KRASOTA is on the ground floor of Address Downtown on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed Boulevard, in the heart of Downtown Dubai. The setting suits the theme: the final course is served outside on the terrace, with the Burj Khalifa as the backdrop for a show that ends with Dubai’s future. Dubai Mall and the Dubai Fountain are a short walk away if you want to make a longer evening of it.

Who it suits

With only 20 seats per evening, Imaginary Dubai feels closer to a private performance than a restaurant service, and over a run of a little over two weeks, weekend evenings are likely to go first. It suits couples marking an anniversary, friends celebrating a birthday, food lovers curious about a chef’s take on local themes, and visitors who want a memorable introduction to the city’s story. Children aged six and over are welcome, so it can work for families with older children who will enjoy the projections.

For residents who have already seen KRASOTA’s other shows, the Dubai theme makes this a different evening from Imaginary Art, which runs in the same room until mid-November. For more ideas, browse our dinner and brunch guide, shows and theatre, and things to do in November.
