A guide to Promoseven Sports Marketing
About Promoseven Sports Marketing
If you run in Dubai, there is a good chance you have already lined up at one of their races. Promoseven Sports Marketing is a Dubai-based sports agency that works on event management, sponsorship, PR and brand activation. On its own website the team says it has been creating sporting experiences since 1998, across the Middle East and Asia.
What we like about them is the mix. They put on big city races, but they also run relaxed community mornings where families and first-timers feel just as welcome as club runners.
Events they organise
Their best-known race is the Plus500 City Half Marathon, which starts and finishes in DIFC. The 2024 race was billed as the sixth edition, so it is a settled part of the city’s running calendar. Distances are 21 km, 15 km, 10 km and 5 km.
Alongside it, Promoseven runs:
- The Community Run @ The Ripe Market, a season-long series at The Ripe Market, Academy Park, by the Dubai Police Academy, with 15 km, 10 km, 5 km and 2.5 km options.
- The DIFC Corporate Relay, a team event for office colleagues.
- The Yas Bay 10 Miler in Abu Dhabi.
- The Expo City Dubai Half Marathon, listed for 28 March 2027.
Press coverage from 2024 also names the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay among the events they have managed.
Running for a cause
This is the part that makes these races feel a bit special. Proceeds from the Plus500 City Half Marathon go to The Child Fund through the Al Jalila Foundation, and you can donate on the race page even if you are not running. The Community Run series at The Ripe Market supports the same cause. So whether you do a gentle 2.5 km with the kids or a full half marathon, your entry helps.
How to take part
Registration happens online through Hopasports, linked from the Promoseven Sports website. For the City Half Marathon on 8 November 2026, entries close on 6 November at 20:00, or sooner if places sell out. Fees start at AED 158 for the 5 km and go up to AED 236 for the 21 km, including VAT but before a 5% service fee. Age limits apply: 6 and over for the 5 km, 10 and over for the 10 km, and 16 and over for the 15 km and 21 km.
For the Community Run series, single entries start from AED 126, and a six-run season pass is listed at AED 600. Check the event page for the latest prices before you book.
Volunteering at their events
We could not find a published volunteer or marshal programme on Promoseven’s official pages. If you would like to help at a water station or on the course, the best step is to contact the team directly by email or phone and ask what is needed for the next race.

Good to know on race day
A few friendly tips from us, not official race rules:
- Arrive early. DIFC starts are at dawn, and finding parking and the bag drop takes longer than you think.
- November mornings are cooler, but the sun climbs fast. Bring a cap and sunscreen.
- Hydrate the day before, not just on the start line.
- Pin your bib on the night before so you are not hunting for safety pins at 5am.
- Refunds are limited. For the City Half, a refund is offered up to 14 days before the race, minus a 10% admin fee, and you can switch distance or transfer your entry before registration closes.
Medical cover is provided on the day, and finishers receive a medal and an electronic certificate.
