Inside the Artist with Vera Alkhova is an art lecture in Dubai on Thursday 29 October 2026 at the Theatre of Digital Art (ToDA), and it is a lovely evening for anyone curious about how great paintings come to life. Art historian and contemporary art expert Vera Alkhova looks at the minds behind the masterpieces, and the evening ends with an immersive digital show of Vincent van Gogh’s work.

About Inside the Artist with Vera Alkhova in Dubai

This 90-minute lecture explores the psychology of creativity: the mental processes behind great art, how artists develop a visual language of their own, and how personal experience, fears and the spirit of the time shape iconic works. Rather than retelling biographies, Vera Alkhova focuses on how artists thought, why they broke with academic conventions and how inner conflict pushed them to innovate.

The lecture also looks at how artists work today, in a world of digitalisation, artificial intelligence and a global art market. It is thoughtful, accessible and designed for curious minds rather than specialists.
