On Tuesday 27 October 2026, Masterclass: Term Sheets, Cap Tables & Closing Your Seed Round brings founders together with an investor and a founder who has been through it, to demystify the mechanics of a seed raise.

About the masterclass

This four-hour session is aimed squarely at seed-stage founders. According to the organisers, it covers the essentials you need to understand before you sign anything: how valuations work, the difference between SAFEs and priced rounds, how to build and read a cap table, founder vesting, and how to negotiate a term sheet.

The speakers are Mona Tieser of Edge Ventures and Umair Usmani, founder of myco.io. Having both the investor side and the founder side in the room is what makes a session like this useful, as you hear how each party thinks about the same clauses.
