Gingerbread House Making 2026 at Address Beach Resort, Dubai

Gingerbread house making returns to Address Beach Resort in Dubai every day between Sunday 6 and Wednesday 30 December 2026, inviting families to build and decorate their own gingerbread house together at The Restaurant on JBR. Sessions run each afternoon between 1pm and 4pm, and the resort promises a festive treat along the way.

The resort calls it “the perfect holiday activity for the whole family”, and it is one of the simplest ways to get into the Christmas spirit in Dubai without committing to a full brunch or dinner.

A JBR festive tradition

This is not a one-off. Address Beach Resort has run gingerbread house sessions at The Restaurant for several Decembers: back in 2022 it hosted a single Friday afternoon of building, and by 2024 the activity had become a daily fixture through most of the month, with the same afternoon slot used again this year. Address Hotels describes it as a joyful activity that sparks creativity and laughter, and places it alongside the resort’s festive brunches and tree lighting.

The setting helps. Address Beach Resort opened in December 2020 on the beachfront at Jumeirah Beach Residence, its twin towers linked high above the ground and home to Zeta Seventy Seven, the rooftop infinity pool and bar on the 77th floor. The gingerbread sessions take place in The Restaurant, the resort’s all-day dining venue, so the activity is indoors and comfortable whatever the weather.

How gingerbread house making works

Based on the Address Hotels offer page, each booking is for a set, and one set makes one gingerbread house. A session gives you:

• a hands-on gingerbread house building session
• one gingerbread house kit per set
• a festive treat during the session
• a relaxed table at The Restaurant, Address Beach Resort

Because one set produces one house, families can share a kit between siblings or book more than one if several children want to build their own. Having the same daily time slot across most of December makes it easy to plan around school holidays, work and visiting relatives, and a finished house makes a centrepiece to take home for the rest of the season.

Who the gingerbread house making in Dubai suits

The activity is designed for families with children, especially during the school winter break when parents are looking for festive things to do indoors. It also suits grandparents visiting for the holidays, groups of friends with young children and resort guests looking for a creative afternoon by the beach. Adults who simply love Christmas baking traditions will enjoy it too, and the three-hour window means you can arrive after a morning on the beach at JBR.

If your children want more festive crafts after this, our kids events in Dubai and workshops pages list other seasonal activities, and the free Madinat Jumeirah Festive Market has its own gingerbread decorating station.

More festive plans at Address Beach Resort

The resort runs several seasonal offers alongside the gingerbread sessions, which makes it easy to turn a creative afternoon into a longer celebration. The Whispers of Winter Afternoon Tea at The Lounge runs between 6 December 2026 and 7 January 2027. Pepe Cucina serves festive Italian menus on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Zeta Seventy Seven hosts a Christmas Day brunch, and The Restaurant offers a turkey takeaway between 5 and 30 December 2026 if you would rather pick up dinner for later.
