About this event

The Aquaventure Waterpark and Lost Chambers combo at Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai gives you a full day out on one ticket: the slides, rivers and beach of Atlantis Aquaventure, followed by a walk through the aquarium’s flooded “ruins” and more than 65,000 marine animals. Platinumlist sells it as the Lost World Aquarium combo, and the aquarium you visit is the Lost Chambers at the heart of the resort.

Aquaventure Waterpark Dubai: a record-breaking line-up of slides

Aquaventure is not a modest splash park. In 2022 it was awarded the Guinness World Records title for the most waterslides in a waterpark, with 50 slides, beating the previous record of 41. Atlantis now counts more than 100 slides, attractions and experiences across the park, so a single day is rarely enough to try everything.

The range runs from steep, high-speed drops to family rafting slides and lazy river stretches, which means mixed groups can split up for an hour and meet again without anyone feeling short-changed. Two inclusions on this ticket are worth singling out:

  • Surf’s Up Wave Rider, a surf simulator where you try to stay upright on a constant sheet of water.
  • Splashers Lagoon and Cove, the dedicated children’s play area with shallow water and smaller slides for younger visitors.

The park also has 700 metres of private beach, so you can swap chlorine for sea water when you want a break from queues.

The Lost Chambers aquarium

The second half of the combo is a very different experience. The Lost Chambers is designed as the remains of the sunken city of Atlantis, a maze of passages, tunnels and themed chambers wrapped around the vast Ambassador Lagoon. Through the glass you will spot sharks, rays, jellyfish and huge shoals of fish among the more than 65,000 marine animals on site.

It is calmer, cooler and quieter than the waterpark, which is why many visitors save it for the hottest part of the afternoon. Puzzles and mazes along the route keep children engaged, while adults tend to linger at the big lagoon windows. Divers and snorkellers can book separate underwater experiences in the lagoon itself; these are not part of this combo ticket.

How the day works

The listing gives Aquaventure’s hours as 10am to 6.30pm, and the Lost Chambers as 11am to 8pm with last entry at 7pm. That gap gives you a natural shape for the day: slides in the morning when the park opens, lunch on site, then the aquarium as the afternoon heat peaks, with time left over for the beach before the park closes.

Your ticket covers access to the rides and attractions at Aquaventure, Splashers Lagoon and Cove, the Surf’s Up Wave Rider, entry to the aquarium and parking. Food, drinks and transfers are not included, and outside food, drinks, glassware and alcohol are not allowed into Aquaventure.

Swimwear, ages and safety rules

Atlantis is strict about swimwear on the rides. One-piece and two-piece swimsuits, trunks, rash guards, board shorts and burkinis are all accepted. Abayas, sarees, cotton clothing, jeans, long trousers and street clothes are not allowed on the attractions. Regular nappies are not permitted in the water, but swim nappies are sold in the park’s gift shops.

Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult to enter Aquaventure. Some rides are not recommended for expectant mothers or for anyone with neck, back, joint or heart conditions, so check ride signs before you queue. Bring a valid photo ID for entry.

Getting to Atlantis, The Palm

Atlantis, The Palm sits at the tip of Palm Jumeirah on Crescent Road, with the waterpark and aquarium both on the resort site. If you drive, follow signs for Atlantis once you are on the Palm; parking is included with this ticket. Without a car, take the Metro to Mall of the Emirates station and continue by taxi, or take a taxi straight to the resort.

Who the combo suits

The combo works best for families with children of mixed ages, groups of friends who want one big day rather than several small outings, and visitors who want to see Atlantis without staying at the hotel. If you only care about the slides, a waterpark-only day may suit you better; the value here is in pairing high-energy rides with the slower pace of the aquarium.
