AYA Universe Dubai

AYA Universe Dubai is an immersive light and sound park on the first floor of Wafi City Mall, where 12 interactive zones of projections, mirrors and music take you on a walk through an imagined cosmos. Opened in December 2022 as the first of what its creators called a new generation of experiential entertainment parks, it spreads across roughly 40,000 square feet and works equally well as an indoor family outing, a date idea or a photo stop on a hot afternoon in Dubai.

The 12 Worlds of AYA Universe Dubai

The route through AYA is a sequence of themed rooms, each built around its own idea of light. You start at Aurora, where the artwork reacts to your gestures, then move through The Source, Drift and Outland before reaching the water-themed trio of The Pool, The River and The Falls, the last of which is known for waterfalls that appear to flow upwards. Celestia and Flora fill the space with beams of light and gardens that seem to bloom around you, while Celestia also holds what Wafi calls Dubai’s largest immersive ball pit.

Later in the journey, Tides is a mirrored chamber lined with LED totems around a central monolith, and Luna is an infinity room filled with shimmering moons. Everything builds to Harmonia, the finale: a three-minute robotic light and sound show staged in a mirrored infinity space. Along the way you can dance with digital avatars, discover invented creatures and play with installations that respond to movement, which is what makes AYA feel more like a playground than a gallery.

How a Visit to the Immersive Park Works

Your ticket gives entry during opening hours and access to all 12 zones, and it stays valid for 30 days from the date of purchase, so you can pick a quieter day once you have booked. Children aged three and under go in free, as do people of determination. Bring a valid photo ID.

Wafi’s official page lists opening hours of 10am until 10pm Sunday to Thursday and 10am until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, with last entry 1.5 hours before closing. Some ticket listings have shown shorter hours during holiday periods, so check the times on your ticket before you set off. Guides to the park suggest allowing roughly one and a half to two hours for a full walk through all the zones, and longer if you linger, since visitors can stay in rooms they enjoy and watch the effects again.

Who AYA Suits

Because it is fully indoors and air-conditioned, AYA is one of the more useful Dubai attractions for the hotter months or a rainy-day plan. The park is suitable for all ages, including expectant mothers, and the dress code is simply casual. Younger children have the ball pit in Celestia and zones that react to movement, while the mirror rooms of Tides and Luna are the ones most people photograph. It is also a straightforward choice for families with mixed ages, because nobody needs to sit through a fixed show except for the short Harmonia finale.

Getting to Wafi City

AYA sits on Level One of Wafi City Mall, at the top of the escalators in the main atrium, in Oud Metha and Umm Hurair. Parking is available at the mall, subject to availability. By metro, Dubai Healthcare City Station is the closest stop, about a six-minute walk from Wafi City. Taxi drivers know the mall well.
