About this event

Majid Al Muhandis Live 2026 in Khorfakkan opens the new Hala Khorfakkan season at the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre on Saturday 14 November, bringing one of the Gulf’s best-loved voices to an open-air stage on Sharjah’s east coast. Doors open at 7:30pm and the singer is due on stage at 9pm for a night of the melodies his fans know by heart, under the Khorfakkan sky.

Who is Majid Al Muhandis?

Majid Al Muhandis, also written Majid Al Mohandis, is an Iraqi-Saudi singer and composer, born in Baghdad in 1971. He began his professional career in 1992 and has since become one of the most popular voices in Arabic music, nicknamed the Engineer of the Arabic Song and the Voice of Diamond. He was granted Saudi citizenship in 2010 while keeping his Iraqi nationality, and he records with Rotana.

His catalogue stretches across three decades. Early hits such as Mo Bas Ahebek (2000) and Wahishni Moot (2005) made him a household name across the Gulf, and his recent work, including the 2015 album Majid Almuhandis and the 2023 release Bdet Ateeb, has kept him at the top of the charts. Janant Galbi, the song highlighted on the event listing, reached number one in the MENA region and Saudi Arabia in 2023, and the song Bdet Ateeb reached the top five in MENA. Television audiences know him too: he was a featured performer on Arab Idol in 2017 and sat on the jury of Saudi Idol in 2022.

Opening the Hala Khorfakkan season

Hala Khorfakkan is the season of concerts and cultural evenings at the amphitheatre launched by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, which manages the venue, bringing major Gulf and Arab artists to the east coast. Being chosen to open the season gives this concert a sense of occasion, and the organisers frame it simply: some nights are worth the wait.

It is also a return to familiar ground. When the first Hala Khorfakkan season was launched in 2021, Majid Al Muhandis was announced alongside Dalia Mubarak to open it, so this year’s concert sees him take the same role again.

The venue: Khorfakkan Amphitheatre

Khorfakkan Amphitheatre is one of the most striking concert venues in the UAE. Inaugurated in December 2020 by the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, it is a semicircular, Roman-style structure covering around 190,000 square feet, with a stone facade of 234 arches and 295 columns. It sits on a raised hillock overlooking the Khorfakkan corniche, next to Al Metalaa Park on Rugaylat Road, with the town and the sea below. Its first concert, on 31 December 2020, starred Hussain Al Jassmi and Angham, and in its opening month it also staged Khorfakkan, a historical drama about the town that drew around 2,000 spectators from across the UAE.

Because it is open-air, the concert plays out under the night sky, with the tiers of seating curving around the stage. Seating includes a Pearl section, where children are not permitted, and a Platinum section, with Row A set aside for People of Determination using mobility aids.

Getting there

From Khorfakkan town, take Al Corniche Street and, at the roundabout, take the first exit onto Corniche Street/Rughaylat Road (E99/S104) towards Daba Al Hisn; the amphitheatre is beside Al Metalaa Park. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are an option locally. Parking is not covered on the event page. Khorfakkan sits on the east coast, across the Hajar Mountains from Dubai and Sharjah city, so the 9pm start leaves time to make a day of it by the sea first.

Families and accessibility

Families are welcome outside the Pearl section, with a few rules. Every child over 3 needs their own seat and valid ticket, and all children must be accompanied by their parents. The organisers advise parents to bring ear defenders for young children, which is worth taking seriously at an outdoor concert with a full sound system.

People of Determination card holders and their official carers have dedicated booking terms, and these bookings are handled through Platinumlist’s WhatsApp line or website chat rather than the standard checkout. Mobility-aid seating is only available in Platinum Row A, so book early if you need it.

Tickets are final and non-refundable, and the organiser reserves the right to change the terms, so check the date and seating area carefully before you book.

Who it suits

This is a night for fans of Majid Al Muhandis and classic Gulf and Iraqi song, from listeners who grew up with Mo Bas Ahebek to those who found him through Janant Galbi. It also suits anyone who has wanted an excuse to see the amphitheatre itself, and families planning a weekend on the east coast.
