The Public Prosecution Run 2026 in Dubai is an early-morning community race at Quranic Park in Al Khawaneej on Sunday 15 November 2026, with a 5km road race and a shorter 1.6km course open to all ages. It is organised by Dubai Public Prosecution in cooperation with Dubai Sports Council, with Endurance Sports Services handling race organisation and timing, and it welcomes everyone from podium hopefuls to families out for a gentle jog.
About the Public Prosecution Run in Dubai
Dubai Public Prosecution created the run as a community occasion, and the organisers actively encourage people to bring friends, family and colleagues. The race returns after its 2025 edition, held on 15 November 2025 as part of the Dubai Fitness 30×30 Challenge, when Dubai Public Prosecution, Dubai Sports Council and Endurance Sports Services worked together on the event.
Race Distances and Prizes
5km Road Race
The 5km is open to ages 13 and above, with age groups that begin at 13 to 15 years and continue all the way to 60 and over. Separate male and female categories run in every group, so there are plenty of podium places to chase. The course is rated easy, which suits first-time 5km runners as well as regulars looking for a quick morning time.
1.6km Course
The shorter 1.6km is open to all ages, with categories that include the very youngest runners. It is the natural choice for families racing together, children trying their first timed event or anyone who wants a brisk morning loop in the park.
Cash Prize Pool
A cash prize pool rewards the top finishers across a wide range of age groups in both races, with male and female results recorded separately. That spread of categories means older runners and juniors have as much to aim for as the open field.
Race Morning at Quranic Park
Bib collection opens at 5:30am and closes at 6:50am. The 5km starts at 7am and the 1.6km follows at 7:05am. Registration closes on 14 November 2026, or earlier if the race fills up.
Every entry includes timing, an electronic certificate, a medal, a photo service, live results and refreshments. According to the race listing, parking, toilets, changing rooms and showers are available, with medical staff on site throughout the morning.
Quranic Park, Al Khawaneej
Quranic Park is a Dubai Municipality park on Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street in Al Khawaneej, which opened in 2019. Spread over about 60 hectares, it brings Islamic heritage, science and nature together in landscaped gardens. Its 12 themed orchards each showcase plants mentioned in the Holy Quran, and the park also includes the Cave of Miracles, which presents seven miracles from the Quran and Sunnah using interactive displays and holograms, a Glass House for plants that need controlled conditions, an outdoor theatre, an Umrah corner, solar trees and a lake designed to recall the parting of the sea in the story of Moses. The Glass House sits at the highest point of the park, with a distinctive design visible from the paths below.
The park already has dedicated jogging and cycling tracks, so it is a natural fit for a community race. The main park is free to enter, and runners who want to stay on after the medals are handed out can explore the gardens in the cool of the morning. As a respected public space with a religious theme, it suits modest sportswear.
Who Should Run the Public Prosecution Run
This is a race for everyone. Competitive runners can target a place in the age-group prize standings, families and casual runners can enjoy the 1.6km together, and colleagues can sign up as a group, which the organisers encourage.
The same morning offers another option across the city: the Emirates NBD Unity Run sets off from Dubai Design District with 3km, 5km and 10km distances, while the Ajman Neon Run takes place the evening before.
