About this event

Synthony x Faithless Live in Dubai brings an orchestral dance spectacular and one of the great names of British dance music to Bla Bla by McGettigan’s, on the beachfront at JBR, on Saturday 21 November 2026. Synthony makes its Middle East debut with a full live orchestra, vocalists and visuals, followed by the Faithless Sound System featuring Sister Bliss, with anthems such as Insomnia and We Come 1 promised for the night. Doors open at 6pm.

Entry is strictly for guests aged 21 and over, and there is no re-entry.

What is Synthony?

Synthony began in July 2015 with a simple question from pilot David Elmsly and DJ Erika Amoore after watching a BBC Proms concert: what if you mashed up epic dance anthems with a full orchestra? The answer became a touring show, produced by Duco Events, that blends the biggest electronic tracks with a live orchestra, DJs, vocalists and immersive visuals.

It started in New Zealand, with early shows at Auckland Town Hall from 2017 alongside the Auckland Philharmonia, and grew fast. Synthony has since played Brisbane Town Hall, Carriageworks in Sydney, the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the Sydney Opera House forecourt, before moving into Europe with dates at Zenith Paris, Hallenstadion in Zurich and Tempodrom in Berlin, and then to New York’s Terminal 5 in 2026. Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams has led many of its performances. Dubai is its first show in the Middle East.

Faithless Sound System with Sister Bliss

Faithless formed in London in 1995 and became one of the defining acts of 1990s and 2000s dance music, mixing house, trance, trip hop and electronica. Insomnia, first released in 1995, and Salva Mea each sold more than a million copies, God Is a DJ and We Come 1 became festival staples, and the 2005 greatest hits album Forever Faithless went four times platinum as the best-selling dance album of that year. The band’s frontman and voice, Maxi Jazz, died in December 2022, and Faithless continued with Sister Bliss and Rollo, releasing their eighth studio album, Champion Sound, in September 2025. Rollo, the producer at the heart of the band’s sound, is also known for his work with his sister Dido.

Sister Bliss is the band’s keyboard player, producer and DJ, and has also scored music for television, film and theatre. The Faithless Sound System is her way of taking the band’s catalogue into the club and festival world, so expect the big tunes delivered with the energy of a DJ-led set after the orchestra has warmed up the crowd. The ticket page names Insomnia and We Come 1 among the anthems on the night.

What to expect on the night

The evening is billed in two parts: Synthony first, then the Faithless Sound System. Synthony’s half reimagines dance anthems with orchestral arrangements, live vocalists and big visuals, so club tracks you know from headphones and dancefloors come back with the weight and colour of a full orchestra behind them. The ticket page does not list Synthony’s set or a running order, but the Faithless anthems give the night a clear finale.

Across the evening the music moves through trip hop, downtempo, dance-pop, progressive house and progressive trance. The calendar listing runs from 6pm to 11pm, which makes this an early, concert-style night rather than an all-night club session.

The venue: Bla Bla by McGettigan’s

Bla Bla is a large beachfront entertainment venue at JBR, and for this show the stage looks out with Ain Dubai as the backdrop. The beachfront setting suits the mild evenings of late November in Dubai.

By car, take Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), exit towards King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street (D94), continue to Exit 29 and follow the signs for the South Beach Entrance via Al Sayorah Street. By tram, take the T1 to Jumeirah Beach Residence 2 station and walk a short distance. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are another easy option.

Know before you go

The 21+ rule is strict, so bring valid photo ID. Once you are in, there is no re-entry, so arrive ready to stay. No dress code is listed. If your plans change, the ticket page says you can exchange your ticket with another fan.

Who it suits

This is a night for anyone who grew up with Insomnia and God Is a DJ, for fans of orchestral reworkings of club music, and for groups who want a big outdoor concert with the energy of a dance party. If you have seen classical-meets-club shows before and wondered how they would sound by the sea, this one combines both, with the bonus of hearing the Faithless catalogue from one of the people who made it.
