Woofstock 2026 in Dubai returns for its fourth edition at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Sunday 1 November 2026, running from 3pm to 11pm. It is a full afternoon and evening built around dogs and the people who love them, with a dedicated off-leash area, training classes led by an expert trainer, vets and handlers on site, rescue charities, live music, street food and a shopping village of pet and lifestyle brands.
What sets Woofstock apart from a regular dog-friendly day out is that the whole site is planned with dogs in mind, from the entry checks at the gate to the colour-coded leash sleeves every dog wears. It also gives something back: proceeds from dog tickets go to the participating rescue organisations.
What there is to do
The off-leash area
The heart of the day for most dogs is the dedicated off-leash zone, where they can run, play and meet other dogs. This is the only part of the site where dogs can be off the lead, so it is the place to head if your dog has energy to burn.
Training classes and workshops
Dog training classes led by an expert trainer are included in the day, and they are a good chance to pick up pointers for everyday life with your dog from someone who knows what they are doing. Alongside them, educational workshops share practical tips for owners, and dog-friendly arts and crafts sessions add something a little more playful.
Vets, handlers and rescue charities
Vets and dog handlers are on site throughout the day to give advice, which is handy if you have a question you have been meaning to ask. Rescue charities are also at the event, so you can meet them, learn about their work and find out how to support them and the difference that support makes. If you have ever wondered which charities are behind the dogs you see up for adoption, this is a relaxed way to meet the people involved.
Music, food and shopping
For the humans, there is live music and entertainment throughout the day, street food vendors, bars and cold drinks. The shopping village brings together pet and lifestyle brands and artisan stalls, so you can browse for your dog and yourself. Younger visitors have their own Kids Zone.
How dog entry works
Woofstock takes dog welfare seriously, and the entry rules are clear. Read them before you go, because they affect whether your dog gets in.
- Vaccinations: dogs must be fully vaccinated, and records are checked at the entrance. In special cases, an up-to-date vaccination check is allowed.
- Kennel Cough: the organisers are not liable if a dog without a Kennel Cough vaccination catches it at the event.
- Sociability: dogs are assessed for sociability at the gate.
- Leash sleeves: every dog is given a green, yellow or red leash sleeve at entry. It must be worn at all times and handed back at the exit.
- On-leash site: outside the off-leash area, dogs stay on the lead and with their owners at all times.
Some equipment is not allowed on site: prong or pinch collars, e-collars, pulse collars and electric shock collars, slip leashes without a stopper and other choke chains, and rolled or very thin collars. If your dog usually wears one of these, switch to a standard flat collar or harness for the day.
Who it suits
Woofstock is first and foremost for dog owners who want a day out where their dog is the guest of honour, not an afterthought. Sociable dogs who enjoy company will get the most from the off-leash area. Families do well here too, thanks to the Kids Zone and the relaxed feel of the amphitheatre.
You do not need a dog to enjoy it. If you are thinking about adopting, meeting the rescue charities in person is a good first step, and the training workshops give a realistic sense of what life with a dog involves. Tickets are sold separately for people and for dogs.
