About this event

The Snow White pantomime comes to Dubai this Christmas, as the Dubai Panto team stages a brand new production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Meyana Theatre in Jumeirah Beach Hotel between 16 and 28 December 2026. It is a family show in the classic British panto style, with comedy, songs, costumes and plenty of chances for the audience to boo, cheer and sing along.

Performances run daily across the two weeks before New Year, with a break on Christmas Day, and each show lasts about 1 hour 45 minutes including a 15 to 20 minute interval.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, panto style

The story follows the fairy tale everyone knows: a jealous queen, a magic mirror, a princess who escapes into the forest and the seven small miners who take her in. In panto, though, the familiar plot is a frame for the fun. The producers say each of the Seven Dwarfs has been given a distinct personality for comic effect, so expect running gags, quick-fire jokes and plenty of slapstick alongside the romance.

The cast has musical theatre experience, and the show mixes musical numbers and bright costumes with the call-and-response traditions that make a pantomime what it is. Children are encouraged to shout warnings at the stage, hiss at the villain and cheer on the heroine, while the grown-ups get a second layer of jokes aimed squarely at them. The production is performed in English and is pitched at the whole family, from small children to grandparents.

The team behind the Dubai Panto

The Dubai Panto is a December fixture for many families in the UAE, and the ticket listing describes this production as following more than 20 years of hugely popular Dubai pantos. Recent seasons have been presented by Outside the Box Events and h2 Productions, billed as the team behind more than 40 hit pantomimes across the UAE.

The company has made Jumeirah Beach Hotel its festive home in recent years. Aladdin played the hotel’s auditorium over 17 to 29 December 2024, and Cinderella followed in December 2025. Before that, the Dubai Panto spent several festive seasons at Fairmont The Palm, where titles such as Rapunzel were staged. Snow White is the next title in the Jumeirah Beach Hotel run.

h2 Productions also took a Snow White story to Masrah Al Qasba in Sharjah in March 2026, but the December show is billed as a brand new production for the Dubai Panto’s Christmas season at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, so families who saw the spring show will find a festive version built around the seasonal jokes, songs and audience games of a Christmas panto.

If you are planning more than one show this season, a separate Cinderella Pantomime 2026 plays at The New Covent Garden Theatre in December, and The Nutcracker by the Bolshoi Ballet is at Dubai Opera in early December.

Meyana Theatre at Jumeirah Beach Hotel

The Meyana Theatre sits inside Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the wave-shaped hotel on Jumeira Street in Umm Suqeim that opened in 1997 and stands beside the sail-shaped Burj Al Arab. The hotel is treating the panto as part of its own festive season, with pre-show and post-show experiences and special restaurant menus, so a performance can easily become a full Christmas afternoon or evening out.

Doors to the theatre open 30 minutes before each show, and the theatre bar opens an hour before curtain up. Food and drink can be taken into the auditorium only if bought at the venue. Professional cameras and audio or video recording equipment are not allowed, and latecomers are admitted at the duty manager’s discretion. Tickets are valid only for the date and time booked.

Who the Snow White pantomime in Dubai suits

The show is suitable for all ages, and its running time with an interval in the middle makes it manageable for younger children. Everyone aged three and over needs a ticket, and under-12s must be with an adult. Strollers cannot be taken into the theatre but can be left outside, which is worth knowing if you are coming with a toddler.

For anyone who needs level access, a wheelchair space or other support, the organisers ask you to email tickets@otbuae.com before booking so the team can arrange it.

By car, take Sheikh Zayed Road to exit 39 towards Umm Suqeim Street and follow Umm Suqeim Street (D63) to the hotel. By bus, route 8 runs from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to the Wild Wadi 1 stop, a short walk from the hotel. Taxis and ride-hailing apps drop off at the hotel entrance.
