Bohemia Presents Alex Wann and SONA 2026 in Dubai puts two of the fastest-rising names in Afro-house and melodic house on the beachfront at Bohemia, the beach club at FIVE Palm Jumeirah, on Saturday 14 November. Parisian producer Alex Wann and South African DJ SONA share headline billing, with MrGoodalf and Anrey completing the line-up, and the party runs from 7pm until 1am.

Who is Alex Wann?

Alex Wann is a DJ and producer who came up through the Paris club scene. His breakthrough arrived in 2023 with a rework of Kelis’ Milkshake, which topped the Beatport charts and was named Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune on BBC Radio 1. It turned a 2000s R&B hit into a groove-led house track and introduced him to dance floors far beyond France.

He has kept up the momentum since. The event listing highlights his follow-up My Love, and his releases have landed on labels including Positiva, Defected, Black Book Records and Insomniac Records. Other tracks include Lost Keys and The City, a collaboration with Notre Dame. His production style is built on tight grooves, layered percussion and melodic touches, a sound that translates well to an open-air setting.

His live résumé is strong for a producer so early in his rise. He has played Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas and Cercle Festival, along with CRSSD, Space Miami and the Montreux Jazz Festival, and in 2026 he was named a resident with Wynn Nightlife in Las Vegas, playing XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club. Who is SONA?

SONA, real name Esona Maphumulo, is a South African DJ and producer and the eldest child of Grammy Award-winning DJ Black Coffee. He grew up around one of the most influential figures in global house music, travelling with his father to international shows, and has since built a name of his own.

His best-known production credit is on Texts Go Green, a track on Drake’s 2022 album Honestly, Nevermind, which he produced and co-wrote. Black Coffee, who executive produced the album, publicly praised his son for it at the time. SONA has also played major festival stages, including Ultra South Africa’s tenth anniversary editions in Cape Town and Johannesburg in 2025.

The line-up and the sound

The billing for the night is simple: distinct Afro-house sounds and high-energy sets. The four names on the line-up are:

• Alex Wann: percussive, melodic house with a pop-savvy edge, best known for Milkshake and My Love.

November is when Dubai’s outdoor season properly opens up, and the evenings are mild enough for dancing on the beach until the 1am finish.

The club has hosted a run of headline DJs this autumn, including Dennis Cruz and Jonas Blue, and this Saturday booking leans firmly towards the Afro-house and melodic house crowd. For a night that wraps up at 1am, it suits people who want a proper party without losing all of Sunday.

Getting there

By car, the listing’s route is King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street, then Palm Jumeirah Road to the FIVE Palm Jumeirah hotel. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are an easy option in both directions; give the hotel name as your destination. Parking is not covered on the event page.
