Trevor Noah Live 2026 in Dubai sees the Emmy-winning comedian trade the arena for the theatre, with a brand-new stand-up show at Dubai Opera in late November. Presented by Live Nation Middle East, it started as a two-night run on 25 and 26 November, and after those dates sold out, extra shows were added on 28 and 29 November. Every performance starts at 8pm, and the ticket listing currently shows the run as sold out.

Who is Trevor Noah?

Trevor Noah was born in Johannesburg in 1984 and started out on the South African comedy circuit before becoming one of the best-known comedians in the world. He hosted The Daily Show on Comedy Central for seven years, from 2015 to 2022, and has hosted the Grammy Awards for six consecutive years. He is also an Emmy winner, a bestselling author and the host of the podcast What Now? with Trevor Noah.

His book Born a Crime, about growing up mixed-race under apartheid, became an international bestseller and remains one of the most widely read comedian memoirs, and he followed it in 2024 with Into the Uncut Grass, an illustrated fable for adults. At The Daily Show he took over from Jon Stewart, a move that introduced him to a huge American audience. On screen, his stand-up specials include The Daywalker, Crazy Normal, It’s My Culture, Son of Patricia, I Wish You Would and Where Was I, and his latest Netflix special, Joy in the Trenches, came out in 2026.

What to expect from the show

The Dubai Opera dates are billed as an entirely new live show with fresh material, so even if you have watched every special, you will not be hearing a greatest-hits set. Noah’s comedy tends to work in the gaps between cultures, languages and countries: he starts with a small observation, often about travel, accents or family, and builds it into something with a bigger point. That style lands particularly well in a city as international as Dubai, where most of the audience has lived somewhere else.

The setting is part of the appeal. When Noah last played Dubai, in 2022, it was an arena show at Coca-Cola Arena. Dubai Opera is a far more intimate room, so you are much closer to the stage and the focus is entirely on the storytelling. Dubai Opera notes that this is a venue hire, presented by Live Nation rather than produced by the opera house itself.

The venue: Dubai Opera

Dubai Opera opened in 2016 in Downtown Dubai, and its dhow-inspired glass building sits in the Opera District near Burj Khalifa. The theatre seats around 2,000 people and can change its layout between theatre, concert and banquet formats. The 2026–27 programme is the venue’s tenth anniversary season, and Trevor Noah is one of the headline names in it. The Dubai Mall and the restaurants along the boulevard are a short walk away if you want to eat before the show.

The building opens two hours before showtime, around 6pm, and the auditorium doors open 30 minutes before the start, around 7:30pm. The venue recommends being in your seat at least 30 minutes before curtain up.

By Metro, take the Red Line to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station and walk about ten minutes, or take a short taxi. By car, leave Sheikh Zayed Road at the exit for Financial Centre Road and follow signs for Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai, then continue along Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard to the opera house.

House rules worth knowing

• Age: strictly 16 and over. Anyone under 16 will not be admitted.
• Latecomers: not admitted once the performance has begun, and there is no refund for missing the start.
• Dress code: avoid overly casual or revealing clothing, such as shorts or flip-flops. Guests who do not comply may be refused entry.
• Phones and recording: phones must be switched off or silenced, and photography, video and audio recording are not allowed in the auditorium.
• Food and drink: outside food and drink are not permitted, and you cannot eat or drink inside the auditorium at any point.
• Tickets: show your ticket on paper or on your phone, and expect a security search. Dubai Opera does not refund or exchange tickets for personal reasons.

Who it suits

Long-time fans who followed Noah from South African stand-up to The Daily Show and Netflix will want to be there, but you do not need to know his back catalogue to enjoy a night of sharp, story-driven comedy. It works well as a grown-up night out with friends or a partner, and the theatre setting suits anyone who prefers a seated, focused show to a big arena.
