How to plan your visit to Louvre Abu Dhabi
What to see
Louvre Abu Dhabi tells the story of human creativity across civilisations, under its famous latticed dome. Alongside the permanent galleries, it runs temporary exhibitions, such as Post-Impressionism: Beyond Appearances, as well as outdoor film screenings, kids’ camps and a free audio guide in its app. The events list on this page includes experiences we have listed around the museum, such as kayak tours in the surrounding waters.
Opening hours
The museum site is open from 10am to midnight, and the dome has last entry at 11pm, which makes an evening visit lovely in the cooler months. The galleries close earlier: 6:30pm from Monday to Thursday and 8:30pm from Friday to Sunday, with last entry 30 minutes before closing.
Tickets and free entry
Adult tickets cost AED 70 including VAT and can be bought online. Under 18s go free, which makes it a great family outing, and free entry also applies to UAE nationals and residents aged 60 and over, People of Determination with one companion, and members of several programmes listed on the museum’s website.
Our tips
- Book tickets online before you go.
- Plan for the gallery closing times, not just the museum hours.
- Combine your visit with Zayed National Museum on Saadiyat Island.
- Check the museum website for current exhibitions and family activities.
