The Ajman Neon Run 2026 turns an evening jog in Ajman into a glowing night-time celebration on Saturday 14 November 2026. Runners of every age gather at Al Safia Park for a 4.3km race, a 1.5km run for young children and a 1.5km category for parents pushing babies in strollers. With an easy course, a medal for every finisher and a festive atmosphere after dark, it is one of the most family-friendly races on the UAE’s November running calendar.
About the Ajman Neon Run and Its Organisers
Also known as the Ajman Night Run, the event is presented by the Department of Tourism Development in Ajman in collaboration with Endurance Sports Services, the UAE race organiser behind several community runs in the emirate. The organisers describe it as a night running event that blends sport with a festive atmosphere, and the neon theme gives runners the perfect excuse to light up their outfits.
This is now a regular fixture. Earlier editions took place in December 2024 and on 8 November 2025, when the race introduced the same fun 4.3km distance alongside a 1.5km and baby stroller category. Ajman Tourism reported that an earlier community Neon Run at Al Safia Park drew more than 400 participants from a wide range of age groups. The same partnership also stages Run Ajman at the park, held in April 2024 and again in September 2025, so the venue and the team are well used to hosting community races in the emirate.
Ajman Neon Run Distances and Categories
4.3km Race
The main race is a single 4.3km lap for anyone aged 13 and above. Results are split into age groups that start with 13 to 15 years and go right up to 50 and over, so competitive runners of every generation have a podium to aim for, while casual joggers can simply enjoy the lights.
1.5km Kids Run
The shorter 1.5km course, also one lap, is reserved for children aged 10 and under. It is short enough for first-time racers to finish strongly, which makes it a confidence boost for small runners.
1.5km Baby in Stroller Plus Adult
This category lets parents take part with their babies rather than watch from the sidelines. One adult pushes the stroller round the 1.5km lap, and the category has its own cash prizes for the top three.
How Race Night Runs
Bib collection on race day opens at 6:45pm and closes at 7:45pm. The 4.3km race sets off at 8pm, with the 1.5km following five minutes later at 8:05pm. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 8:45pm, and the event wraps up at 9:30pm, which keeps the whole evening short enough for young children.
If you would rather not queue on the night, bibs can be collected in advance from the Endurance Bicycles shop in Sharjah between 11 and 13 November, open 9am to 9:30pm. Registration closes on 13 November 2026, or earlier if the race sells out.
What Every Entry Includes
Each participant receives a finisher medal, a certificate, an event T-shirt and timing, plus access to the photo service and refreshments. The course is rated easy, with two support stations, water along the route and at the finish, and medical staff on site.
Prizes for Top Finishers
Cash prizes go to the top three in several categories, including the 4.3km overall and Emirati categories, the 1.5km under-12 categories and the parents’ stroller race, so there is something to chase whether you are a seasoned runner or a fast-moving family.
Al Safia Park, Ajman
The race is held on the jogging track at Al Safia Park, listed on Al Ittihad Street in the Musheirif area of central Ajman. The park is one of the emirate’s best-known green spaces, free to enter, with jogging and cycling tracks, children’s play areas, shaded seating and good lighting for evening visits, which suits a race that starts after dark. According to the organisers, parking, toilets, changing rooms and showers are available on site.
Who Will Enjoy the Night Run
Everyone is welcome, from competitive runners chasing a podium place to complete beginners and young families. The short course and easy rating mean children can take part properly, the stroller category means parents of babies can join in, and every finisher goes home with a medal. Glow sticks, bright colours and LED accessories that are safe to run in all suit the neon theme of the night.
