About

About Abu Dhabi Festival

Abu Dhabi Festival describes itself as the biggest classical music festival in the Middle East. It was established in 2004 and is organised by the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF), which was founded in 1996. Both were founded by H.E. Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo, who is also the festival’s Artistic Director.

The 2026 edition runs from late October to early December, with performances on 30 October, on several dates in November and on 6 December. The programme is organised into four streams: Abu Dhabi Stage, Global Stage, Youth and Visual Arts.

Concerts and talks take place at venues across the capital, including Zayed National Museum, Emirates Foundation, Umm al Emarat Park, Etihad Arena, Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and The Blue Hall at NYU Abu Dhabi Arts Center.

Guide

How to plan your Abu Dhabi Festival 2026

What to expect

Abu Dhabi Festival is where many of the season’s finest classical performances happen in the UAE. Expect solo recitals, orchestral concerts, chamber music and crossover performers, alongside ADMAF Talks, art exhibitions and programmes for young musicians. The festival also includes a children’s outdoor art biennale, so there is something for families as well as seasoned concertgoers.

Dates and venues

The 2026 edition runs from 30 October to 6 December 2026. Rather than one main site, the festival spreads across several venues in Abu Dhabi, from museums and cultural centres to Etihad Arena and a public park. Always check the venue on each event page before you set off, because two concerts in the same week can be in very different parts of the city.

Tickets

Tickets are sold through the festival website, which links to Platinumlist and to Etihad Arena’s booking page for the shows held there. Some events are invitation only and popular recitals can sell out, so it is worth booking as soon as you know your dates. The festival website also has a ticket policy and a page about discounts.

Our tips

  • Use the upcoming events list on this page to see every Abu Dhabi Festival date we have listed, with links to book.
  • Plan your evening around the venue: museum recitals tend to be intimate, while arena concerts need more time for parking and entry.
  • If you are coming from Dubai, allow extra time for the drive, especially on weeknights.
  • Follow the festival on Instagram for programme announcements and last-minute changes.
