Inside Out 2 Outdoor Movie Night 2026 in Dubai

The Inside Out 2 Outdoor Movie Night puts Pixar’s 2024 sequel on a big open-air screen at JLT Park in Dubai on Saturday 21 November 2026. It is one of the weekly Cinema Under the Stars evenings organised by JLT by DMCC, with the film beginning at 7:30pm on the Cluster Q lawn and shown with English and Arabic subtitles.

No ticket is needed for a spot on the grass. Registering online is optional, but it helps the organisers plan numbers and keeps you posted on upcoming titles.

Inside Out 2, the Film

Directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures, Inside Out 2 picks up with Riley as she enters her teenage years. The familiar crew in her mind’s headquarters, Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, suddenly have to share the control room with brand-new emotions, with Anxiety at the front of the queue. As the newcomers take charge, Riley’s sense of who she is begins to wobble, and the original five have to work out where they fit.

The film was a phenomenon on release in June 2024. It had the strongest opening weekend for an animated film ever worldwide, an estimated 295 million dollars, and went on to become the highest-grossing film of 2024, Pixar’s biggest film to date and, at the time, the highest-grossing animated film of all time, with a worldwide total of about 1.7 billion dollars. It runs for 96 minutes, so the screening wraps up at a reasonable hour for younger children.

It is a warm, funny film that also gives families a gentle way to talk about big feelings. Children who loved the first instalment will be keen, and older kids heading towards their own teenage years may find it lands closer to home.

Cinema Under the Stars at JLT Park

Cinema Under the Stars runs every Saturday evening through to 30 January 2027, turning a stretch of JLT Park into a neighbourhood cinema for the cooler months. The film changes each week and titles are usually confirmed around two weeks ahead.

Inside Out 2 sits in the middle of a strong run of Pixar titles. Elemental screens on 7 November and Hoppers on 14 November, while Toy Story follows a week later on 28 November, so families who enjoy the evening can easily make it a regular Saturday plan.

How the Inside Out 2 Outdoor Movie Night Works

A picnic on the lawn

Seating on the grass is first come, first served. You are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, snacks and drinks, which turns the screening into a relaxed evening picnic. The one request is that you leave your patch as tidy as you found it, so a bag for rubbish is worth packing. Pets are not permitted at the screenings.

Beanbags near the screen

For extra comfort, beanbags are set out in a reserved area near the front, and each one comes with a large popcorn. They are limited and allocated on a first come basis, so families who want one should not leave it until the last minute.

Subtitles for everyone

English and Arabic subtitles appear on screen, which helps mixed-language households and younger readers follow the story.

Getting to JLT Park, Cluster Q

The screen goes up in JLT Park, Cluster Q, on the green space between Splendour Fields and the children’s playground in Jumeirah Lakes Towers. There is level, step-free access from the promenade, and accessible toilets are in Cluster Q.

The nearest station is Sobha Realty on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro. Leave by Exit 1 and it is roughly a five-minute walk through Cluster R. Drivers can use the paid parking in Clusters Q and R or at JLT Park itself, while taxis and ride-hailing cars can drop off in Cluster Q, Cluster R or at the park. On a busy Saturday evening the Metro is often the simplest option.

Who It Suits

This one is aimed squarely at families. Primary school children will enjoy the colour and comedy, while parents get a film with more depth than most cartoons, especially if they have pre-teens at home. It also suits friends or couples living in JLT and the Dubai Marina area who fancy something low-key on a Saturday evening without a long drive.
