Luke Dean b2b Max Dean at Pacha ICONS 2026 in Dubai

Luke Dean b2b Max Dean at Pacha ICONS 2026 in Dubai brings two of the fastest-rising names in London house music to Playa Pacha at FIVE LUXE JBR on Friday 11 December. Doors open at 7pm for an open-air night by the sea, with the pair sharing the decks for a back-to-back set built on UK club sounds: swinging garage rhythms, deep low end and dancefloor house.

Who is Luke Dean?

Luke Dean came up through London’s underground scene and is now one of the most talked-about new names in UK house. His breakout came in 2023 with “Get Hard (You In The Lobby)”, a viral club record that topped the Beatport charts and has passed six million streams on Spotify. His sound leans on bouncy basslines, catchy vocal hooks and groove-led rhythms, and he cites MJ Cole, Todd Edwards, Grant Nelson, Archie Hamilton and Rossi. among his influences, a list that tells you exactly where UK garage and minimal house meet in his sets.

He has released on labels including Polydor, Belief, South, MicroHertz and neXup, worked with Omar+ on “Make Believe”, and played Ibiza dates at Eden, DC-10 for Solid Grooves and Chinois. In 2025 he made his headline debut at Club Space in Miami.

Who is Max Dean?

Max Dean is a born-and-bred Londoner whose house music is all about rhythm, swing and underground soul. He founded the label neXup recz, which grew into one of Beatport’s leading minimal and deep tech imprints in under two years, and Mixmag named him its Breakthrough DJ of 2024. He has also been nominated in DJ Mag’s Best of British awards.

His recent calendar shows how far he has travelled in a short time: Drumsheds in London, a neXup showcase at The Warehouse Project in Manchester, an Ibiza run that took in ANTS at Ushuaïa, Pacha, Amnesia and UNVRS, and a show in Amsterdam on the same bill as Skepta.

Why the b2b works

The two Deans have built much of their recent success together. Their single “Can’t Decide” spent nine weeks in the UK Top 40, a rare crossover for underground house, and they released The Finest EP as a pair. They also teamed up with rapper Nafe Smallz on “Not A Problem”. In 2026 they made their Coachella debut playing back to back, and they have taken the same format to festivals such as Kappa FuturFestival in Turin.

In a b2b set the DJs take turns on the decks, often track by track, reacting to each other’s choices. With two selectors who share labels, collaborators and a love of UK garage swing, expect a set that moves easily between rolling minimal grooves, bass-heavy house and the vocal hooks that made their records travel. Fans will be hoping for “Get Hard” and “Can’t Decide”, though no track list is published.

Pacha ICONS at Playa Pacha

Pacha ICONS is the Pacha series at Playa Pacha, the open-air venue at FIVE LUXE on The Walk at JBR, and it brings the name made famous by Pacha Ibiza to the Dubai coast. This edition is dedicated to UK club music. The venue is open-air, so the dance floor sits under the sky with views across the Arabian Gulf towards Ain Dubai and the city skyline, which makes a December date, when evenings are cooler, a good time to be outside.

Tickets and timings

Doors open at 7pm. The ticket page lists two general options, Entry before 11 PM and Dance Floor Access, and VIP tables can also be booked for groups who want a base for the night. If you choose the entry before 11pm ticket, the time limit is the point, so plan to be through the door before then. The ticket page does not list an age policy, a dress code or a finish time, so check your confirmation for entry conditions and bring valid photo ID.

Getting to FIVE LUXE JBR

• By car: take Sheikh Zayed Road, then Al Naseem Street, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street and Al Mamsha Street; at the roundabout take the second exit onto Al Mamsha Street (The Walk).
• By Metro and tram: take the Red Line to Sobha Realty station, then the T1 tram from Dubai Marina 2 to Jumeirah Beach Residence 1, followed by a short walk.
• By taxi: taxis and ride-hailing apps both serve The Walk.

Who it suits

This is one for house and garage heads who follow the UK scene, anyone who has the Deans’ records in their playlists, and groups who want a Friday night at JBR where the music is the main event. If you caught either DJ in Ibiza, Miami or at Coachella, this is a chance to hear the pairing in a much smaller open-air setting.
