The AI CAD/CAM Digital & Aesthetics Dental ConfEx returns to Dubai on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 November 2026, bringing dentists, technicians and clinic teams to Madinat Jumeirah Conference & Events Centre for its 40th edition. This year it runs alongside the 20th congress of the International Society for Laser Dentistry (ISLD), so lasers in clinical practice sit next to digital workflows and aesthetics on the programme. The exhibition is open between 9am and 6pm on both days.
The 2026 theme is “From Believers to Leaders, CAD/CAM Goes AI”, a nod to how quickly artificial intelligence is moving from talking point to everyday tool in surgeries and dental labs.
CAPP and the 40th Dental ConfEx in Dubai
The event is organised by CAPP, the Centre for Advanced Professional Practices, a dental education company based in Dubai and Singapore. Its ConfEx has grown steadily over four decades of editions: CAPP reports that last year’s 39th edition, held on 14 and 15 November 2025, drew 6,369 dental professionals over two days, up 6.8 per cent on the year before. That makes it one of the larger annual gatherings of the dental community in the region.
CAD/CAM stands for computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing: in dentistry, it covers the scanners, design software and milling or printing units used to produce crowns, bridges, veneers and aligners, often in the clinic on the same day. Adding AI to that chain, from automated design proposals to faster diagnosis from scans, is the thread that runs through this year’s edition.
The conference side centres on AI, CAD/CAM, digital dentistry and aesthetics. Alongside the main programme, CAPP lists a Pediatric Dentistry Symposium and a Digital Orthodontics Symposium, and the full programme carries up to 35 continuing education credits. Hands-on courses take place the day before, on 12 November, at the CAPP Training Institute. CAPP uses a single-ticket model in 2026, with one conference ticket giving access to all of the events running under the ConfEx banner.
The 20th ISLD Congress Comes to Dubai
The International Society for Laser Dentistry is a non-profit society that held its first congress in Tokyo in 1988. Its general assembly chose CAPP to host the 20th world congress, announced back in December 2023, which is why the anniversary edition is being held in Dubai rather than in one of the society’s traditional homes.
For practitioners already using lasers, or weighing up whether to invest, this is a rare chance to hear an international laser programme without travelling abroad. CAPP’s own pages describe the congress opening on 12 November, at Novotel Dubai Al Barsha, before the main programme on 13 and 14 November at Madinat Jumeirah.
The Dental Exhibition Floor
The trade exhibition spans around 5,000 square metres and features more than 240 companies and brands. That scale lets you compare many suppliers in one visit instead of booking separate demonstrations through the year. Visitors can see, handle and try out dental materials, equipment and services first hand, which is often the best way to judge whether a scanner, milling unit or new material range will work in your own surgery or lab.
CME training is held within the exhibition area, and dental professionals who attend can earn CME credit hours while they are there. It is a practical way to keep continuing education on track without taking extra days away from clinic, and with so many stands to cover, it is worth checking the session schedule and planning stand visits around it. Exhibition access is free for visitors who register in advance, but every visitor needs a pass before arriving.
Who Should Attend the Dubai Dental ConfEx
This is a professional event for the dental community. Dentists and specialists, dental technicians, hygienists, nurses, practice managers and lab owners will all find something relevant, whether that is product knowledge, CME hours, a laser dentistry programme or new contacts. Clinic owners considering digital or aesthetic upgrades may find it especially useful to see competing systems side by side, while the paediatric and orthodontic symposia give specialists in those fields a reason to stay beyond the exhibition floor.
The two days also bring together suppliers, distributors and practitioners from across the region, so the stands and session breaks double as a chance to meet people from the wider industry.
Madinat Jumeirah Conference & Events Centre
The ConfEx takes place at Madinat Jumeirah Conference & Events Centre, also known as Madinat Jumeirah Arena, in Al Sufouh 1, Dubai. The venue is part of the Madinat Jumeirah resort, which makes it easy to combine a long day on the exhibition floor with a meal nearby. The event listing includes a map and directions link to save before you set off.
