Afrobiano Festival Season 4 brings two days of African music and culture to Yas Beach in Abu Dhabi on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 December 2026. Timed to coincide with Abu Dhabi’s Race Weekend on Yas Island, this fourth season is the first to run across two days, with Afrobeats and Amapiano DJ sets, dance showcases and African food in an open-air setting beside the water.
Gates open at 3pm on both days and the party carries on into the early hours, so the festival moves from a sunny beach afternoon into a full night of dancing.
From one-day party to two-day Afrobiano Festival in Abu Dhabi
Afrobiano Fest has grown steadily since it first landed on Yas Beach. Earlier seasons were single-day events held in early November: the third season took place on 1 November 2025, with gates opening at 3pm and the music running until late into the night. The 2024 edition featured DJ Karri, Ntosh Gazi, Phantom and Rexus, a line-up that leaned firmly into the South African Amapiano sound alongside West African Afrobeats.
For Season 4 the organisers have moved the festival to December, doubled its length and widened the programme, promising more than 20 international artists and talents across the weekend. The idea stays the same: celebrate the spirit of Africa through pulsating beats, dance and cultural experiences, with Yas Beach as a gathering place for the UAE’s growing community of fans of contemporary African music.
Afrobeats, Amapiano and the 2026 line-up
The music is split between the two genres in the festival’s name. Afrobeats, the dance-floor sound that grew out of Lagos and Accra, sits alongside Amapiano, the log-drum-driven house style from South Africa’s townships that has spread to clubs worldwide. Top DJs play sets in both styles across the two days.
The Season 4 performers have not yet been named on the ticket page. The organisers say artist reveals will come through the festival’s Instagram account, @afrobianofest, so follow it if you want to plan your day around a particular DJ. Until then, the confirmed promise is more than 20 international artists and talents across the weekend, rather than a published set list.
Dance shows and African food
Afrobiano is not only about DJ sets. Live dance showcases are part of the programme, bringing the choreography that goes hand in hand with Amapiano and Afrobeats to the stage, and often pulling the crowd into the moves. A selection of African food is served on site, so you can try dishes from across the continent between sets without leaving the beach.
The combination of music, dance and food is what sets Afrobiano apart from a standard beach club night. It is pitched as a cultural celebration as much as a party, so it works whether you already know every Amapiano anthem or are hearing the log drum for the first time.
Yas Beach during Race Weekend
Yas Beach sits on Al Ihtiraf Street on Yas Island, a short drive from Yas Marina Circuit, Yas Mall and the island’s theme parks. The festival takes place outdoors on the sand, beside the water, which gives it a relaxed festival feel in the late afternoon before the lights and sound take over after sunset.
Because the dates fall on Race Weekend, Yas Island will be one of the busiest places in the country. If you are already in town for the race, the festival gives you a different way to spend the evenings. If you are coming just for Afrobiano, expect heavier traffic on and around the island.
By car, the usual route from central Abu Dhabi is Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street (E12) and then Yas Leisure Drive. A taxi from downtown normally takes about 30 minutes, and it may take longer over Race Weekend.
Entry rules and who it suits
Afrobiano Festival is strictly for guests aged 21 and over. Bring your original Emirates ID or passport, as you will need to show it at the gate. The dress code is casual and beachwear, so dress for an evening on the sand rather than a club.
The festival suits Afrobeats and Amapiano fans, groups of friends who love dancing outdoors and Race Weekend visitors looking for a party that runs from daytime into night. With two days to choose from, you can pick the day that suits your plans or make a full weekend of it. Tickets are sold through Platinumlist via the link on this page.
