عن الفعالية

The City Walk Halloween Run in Dubai puts trainers and costumes on the same start line on the evening of Saturday 31 October 2026. Billed as “Run Wild this Halloween”, it sends runners around City Walk at 6:30pm, with a choice of a 2.5km Fun Run or a 5km Race, a medal for every finisher and prizes for the quickest legs and the boldest outfits.

It also counts towards the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2026, so you can bank some activity for the month while dressed as a skeleton. That is a fair trade on Halloween night.

About the City Walk Halloween Run

This is a proper timed race wrapped in a fancy dress party. Both routes start together, and every runner collects a race bib with an integrated timing chip at check-in, so your result is recorded whether you sprint or stroll. The organisers promise themed music, surprises and Halloween entertainment and activations around the course, which keeps things festive for anyone who is there more for fun than for a personal best.

The race page names fitze as the official app partner, and participants track their steps through the fitze app during the event. Merex, City Walk and La Ville Hotel and Suites are also named among the partners behind the evening.

Choosing Your Distance: 2.5km Fun Run or 5km Race

The 2.5km Fun Run is described as lively and accessible, and it is the natural pick for families, younger runners and anyone who has never pinned on a race number before. Expect plenty of costumes, a relaxed pace and children who will almost certainly beat their parents to the finish.

The 5km Race is the longer option for runners with a bit more experience. It is still a festive evening rather than a serious road race, but with timing chips and a prize for the fastest finisher, there will be people out to win it.

Whichever you choose, every finisher receives a City Walk Halloween Run medal, along with dining perks at participating City Walk restaurants. That makes it easy to turn the run into a post-race dinner with your group.

Prizes for Speed and Costumes

The prize list is a big part of the appeal. According to the official race page, the line-up of rewards looks like this:

  • Fastest 5km runner: an iPhone Duo (256GB) plus a two-night stay for two at La Ville Hotel and Suites with breakfast.
  • Fastest 2.5km runner: an iPhone 18 Pro (256GB) plus the same La Ville stay for two.
  • Best Dressed, three winners: AirPods Max 2 each, plus a breakfast experience for two at LAGO by La Ville Hotel and Suites.

So if you know you are not the quickest, put your effort into the outfit. Just remember that costumes have to be safe and comfortable for running. Anything that trips, slips or blocks your view is better saved for photos after the finish.

Who Can Take Part

The run is open to all ages and fitness levels. Every participant needs their own individual ticket, including children running alongside a parent. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a registered adult; the registration form words this as children aged 12 and under, so if your child is exactly 12, plan to run with them.

A few rules are worth knowing in advance. Strollers and pets are not permitted on the course, so this one is not suitable for pushing a buggy around. Participants should be medically and physically fit, and taking part is at your own risk. It suits families with school-age children, running clubs, colleagues and groups of friends looking for an active Halloween plan that is wrapped up in time for dinner.

Booking and Race Day Tips

Registration is online through fitze. Bookings are only confirmed once payment is complete, and QR-coded tickets are sent by email. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled, so check your plans before you sign up. Full details also appear on the City Walk website under What’s On.

City Walk sits at the junction of Al Wasl Road and Al Safa Road, and the development suggests reaching it from Sheikh Zayed Road via Exit D71 towards Jumeirah. No check-in times are published, so arrive early enough to collect your bib, fix your costume and find your group before the 6:30pm start. Bring a water bottle and pick shoes you can actually run in, even if they do not match the outfit.
