About this event

Wine & Dine in Dubai is a sit-down tasting dinner at the Editor’s Table inside Time Out Market, on Level 3 of Souk Al Bahar in Downtown Dubai. CQ French Brasserie is behind the food this time, with a four-course dinner by chefs Rowan and Ziad, while the sommeliers from Cuvée look after the wine. The fun part is that you are not just a guest at the table. You are one of the judges.

About Wine & Dine in Dubai

Wine & Dine is a recurring series at Time Out Market Dubai. Every month a different guest chef teams up with the sommeliers from Cuvée, and the two sides go head to head over a set menu. This edition puts CQ French Brasserie in the kitchen, so expect a French brasserie mindset across the four courses.

Each course is matched with wines chosen by the sommeliers, and the guests at the table vote on which wine works best with each dish. By the end of the night, those votes crown the winning sommelier of the evening. It turns a classic pairing dinner into something a little more social, as you compare notes with the people next to you and argue the case for your favourite glass.

The listing on ThingsToDo.ae runs 21–29 October 2026. At the time of writing, the Platinumlist page shows a session on Thursday 29 October and marks it as sold out, so check availability on the booking page before you plan your evening around it.

What to Expect

A Welcome Drink on Arrival

The evening opens with a welcome drink as you arrive at the Editor’s Table. It is a good moment to settle in, meet the people sharing your table and get a feel for how the voting will work.

Four Courses by Rowan and Ziad

The menu is a four-course dinner from CQ French Brasserie, cooked by Rowan and Ziad. The exact dishes are not listed on the booking page, so treat each course as a small surprise. Courses arrive one after another, each with its own wine match.

Eight Wine Tastings

Across the dinner you get eight wine tastings, chosen by the Cuvée sommeliers to sit alongside the four courses. That works out as two wines per dish, which is exactly what makes the judging possible. Take your time with each glass and taste it with the food rather than on its own.

You Are the Judge

For every course, guests vote on which wine best complements the dish. Your scores help decide the winning sommelier of the night. You do not need to be a wine expert to take part. Simply go with what you enjoy and say why, which is half the fun.

The Venue: Time Out Market, Souk Al Bahar, Level 3

Time Out Market Dubai sits on the third floor of Souk Al Bahar in Downtown Dubai. The dinner takes place at the Editor’s Table, a dedicated spot within the market set aside for hosted evenings like this one. Souk Al Bahar is linked to Dubai Mall by a pedestrian bridge, which makes it easy to reach on foot if you are already in the area.

The market has a designated smoking zone. The team will point it out to guests when they arrive, so there is no need to hunt for it yourself.

Visitor Tips

Getting There and Parking

By Metro, take the Red Line to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station and walk the short distance across. Taxis are easy to find in Downtown Dubai at any time of evening. If you drive, use the Souk Al Bahar car park. Guests can have their parking token validated at the bar for up to four hours of parking, so bring your ticket with you to the table.

Arrive Early

This one matters. The booking terms say a refund will not be given if you have not arrived within 20 minutes of the event starting. Downtown traffic can be slow in the evening, so leave plenty of time and aim to be there before things begin.

Age and Entry Policy

The booking page does not list an age policy. As the evening centres on wine, keep in mind that alcohol in Dubai is only served to guests aged 21 and over, so carry valid photo ID.

Dress Code

No dress code is stated. Smart casual is a sensible choice for a hosted dinner like this.

Plan Your Ride Home

With eight tastings and a welcome drink, it makes sense to leave the car at home or book a taxi for the journey back.
