About this event

World Art Dubai 2026 brings the 12th edition of Dubai’s large-scale art fair to Za’abeel Halls 2 and 3 at Dubai World Trade Centre from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 November. Under the theme Where the World’s Art Comes Together, more than 300 exhibitors from over 65 countries will show around 10,000 artworks, with the doors open from 1pm to 9pm every day. It is organised by Dubai World Trade Centre with Dubai Culture as strategic partner.

A fair built on breadth

World Art Dubai has always been about range rather than a single movement or medium. This year’s exhibitors include more than 200 solo artists, around 65 galleries and a mix of artist groups and collectives, so painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media can sit a few steps apart. The fair is designed for everyone from seasoned collectors to first-time buyers and families who simply want an afternoon among colour and ideas.

The fair has grown over its first eleven editions. Previous years brought more than 120 galleries and over 275 solo artists to DWTC, and the mix now covers painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media and digital art, with a returning Gallery Hall for galleries and curated collections. The 2026 edition has been billed as the fair’s biggest yet, and its Emerging Artist Prize has a particular focus on digital artists.

The works on sale span a wide range of sizes and budgets, which is part of the fair’s appeal for people buying their first original piece. Many exhibitors are on their stands, so you can ask about a work, how it was made and what else they have back in the studio. The organisers report that artwork sales at the fair rose 28 per cent in 2025, a sign of how many visitors leave with something under their arm.

Curators and highlights

This edition brings in two new curators, Rachael Brown and Stephane de Boysson, alongside returning curators Gottfried Eisenberger and Samar Kamel. Beyond the main stands, the programme includes:

  • PhotoWAD, the fair’s dedicated photography section.
  • The Emerging Artist Prize, spotlighting new talent.
  • The Emirati Artists Pavilion, focused on artists from the UAE.
  • School student displays, showing work by young artists.
  • WAD Stage and pop-up performances, adding movement and sound to the halls.
  • Art installations and activations around the floor.

The fair also runs an Artist in Residence Programme with Hotel Indigo Downtown Dubai, SO/Uptown and Radisson RED, which continues into 2027.

Workshops, talks and Family Day

World Art Dubai is more than a walk-round. More than 20 hands-on workshops are included in the ticket, letting you try a technique rather than just admire it, and a programme of talks covers collecting and the art market for the curious and the committed alike. Live performances run across the four days.

Sunday 22 November is Family Day, the best day to bring children for the workshops and student displays. Children aged 11 and under do not need to buy a ticket, which makes the fair an easy family outing.

The venue: Za’abeel Halls 2 and 3, DWTC

The fair fills Za’abeel Halls 2 and 3 at Dubai World Trade Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road. With 10,000 works across two halls, it is worth giving yourself a few hours. A quick first lap to get your bearings, followed by a second visit to the stands that caught your eye, works well at a fair of this size.

One point to note: parts of the ticket page metadata refer to Zabeel Halls 4, 5 and 6, but the event listing, the official website and the organiser’s announcement all confirm Halls 2 and 3.

Getting there

By car, take Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), exit towards the World Trade Centre and follow the signs to Za’abeel Halls 2 and 3. Paid multistorey parking is available at Al Mustaqbal Street Parking. Taxis, Uber and Careem are easy options, and the ticket page has listed a ride promo code for trips to and from the venue.

Who it suits

World Art Dubai suits first-time buyers who want to compare styles and sizes side by side, collectors looking for international and regional names in one place, and families who can combine browsing with workshops on Family Day. Design lovers and students will find plenty of inspiration even without buying. Because the doors stay open until 9pm, it also works as an after-work visit on the Thursday or Friday, as well as a full afternoon out at the weekend.

Early bird tickets are on sale, and if you can no longer attend, Platinumlist’s resale option lets you pass your ticket to another visitor. For more cultural outings, browse our art and culture listings and workshops, or see things to do in November and things to do in Dubai.
