How to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Dubai in 2026
Dubai is one of the world’s most famous places to see in the new year. On 31 December the city puts on fireworks over Burj Khalifa and along the coast, and hotels, beach clubs, restaurants and nightclubs host some of the biggest parties of the year. Whether you want a black-tie gala dinner, a beach party with an international DJ or a relaxed table with a view of the fireworks, this guide to New Year’s Eve in Dubai 2026 will help you choose, book and plan your night.
New Year’s Eve parties in Dubai
If you want to dance into 2027, Dubai’s beach clubs and nightclubs are the place to be. This year’s New Year’s Eve parties include Argy at Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour, Pawsa at Pacha Icons, Five Luxe JBR, Sonny Fodera at Bohemia, Five Palm Jumeirah, Bedouin at Be Beach and the countdown party at Cavo. Party tickets are usually the most affordable way to spend New Year’s Eve in Dubai, with entry currently starting from around AED 150. Most parties run well past midnight, and many are for guests aged 21 and over.
New Year’s Eve gala dinners in Dubai
For a more elegant night, Dubai’s hotels host New Year’s Eve gala dinners with multi-course menus, live entertainment and, at some venues, views of the fireworks. Highlights this year include the New Year’s Eve Under The Stars gala dinner featuring Katy Perry at Atlantis, The Palm and the New Year’s Eve gala dinner at Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Other options include Midnight Sparkle at Emirates Golf Club, ZETA Seventy Seven, 77 floors above JBR, Mekong at Anantara The Palm, Asia Asia in Dubai Marina, and the CÉ LA VI gala in Downtown Dubai. Families can also count down early at the Brasserie by McGettigan’s Expo City family session. Gala dinners are the most expensive option, but packages often include food, drinks and entertainment in one ticket. Read what is included before you book, as some packages are food only.
Dinner shows and something different
If you want entertainment as well as dinner, a New Year’s Eve dinner show combines the two. DREAM Dubai’s New Year’s Eve dinner show is one of this year’s options. For an alternative to a club or hotel, The Final Slope at Time Out Market Dubai brings an Alpine-style party to Souk Al Bahar, with Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain as the backdrop.
Where to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks in Dubai
The main New Year’s Eve fireworks display in Dubai takes place at Burj Khalifa in Downtown Dubai, and it draws huge crowds every year. Restaurants, terraces and hotels with a direct view of the tower are the most in demand, so book early if a fireworks view matters to you. Fireworks are also usually held along the coast, including around Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis and Burj Al Arab, which makes beach clubs and seafront venues a good alternative to the crowds in Downtown. Public viewing areas fill up hours before midnight.
Use the Fireworks view filter above to see which events look onto a display. For a Burj Khalifa view, CÉ LA VI on level 54 of Address Sky View, The Final Slope at Time Out Market in Souk Al Bahar and Cavo in Business Bay all face the tower. The Atlantis, The Palm gala is right under the Atlantis fireworks, and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel gala looks onto the Burj Al Arab. ZETA Seventy Seven, 77 floors above JBR, and Be Beach at Dubai Harbour look out over the coastline towards Bluewaters and Ain Dubai, where several fireworks displays usually take place. Along the coast, Asia Asia overlooks Dubai Marina, Pacha Icons at Five Luxe JBR faces Ain Dubai and the sea, Bohemia at FIVE Palm looks back at the Marina skyline, and Ushuaïa at Dubai Harbour has the Marina skyline as its backdrop. If you would rather stay inside, DREAM Dubai and Mekong are indoor venues, while Emirates Golf Club celebrates outdoors on The Lawn. Fireworks locations are confirmed by the organisers nearer the date, so check each event page before you book.
New Year’s Eve in Dubai with family
Most New Year’s Eve parties in Dubai are for adults, but some hotel dinners and venues welcome children. If you are planning a family New Year’s Eve, check the age policy on each event page, look for early sittings, and think about how you will get home with tired children once the roads close.
Affordable New Year’s Eve in Dubai: cheap tickets and free options
New Year’s Eve in Dubai does not have to cost thousands. Set the Sort by menu above to “Price: cheapest first” to see the most affordable events at the top. Right now the cheapest tickets start from around AED 150: the countdown party at Cavo in Business Bay, which even comes with a view of the Burj Khalifa fireworks, and Argy at Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour. The Brasserie by McGettigan’s at Expo City, Bohemia at FIVE Palm, Be Beach and Pacha Icons at Five Luxe JBR follow at roughly AED 195 to AED 300. Entry-only party tickets are almost always cheaper than gala dinners, so eat before you go if the ticket does not include food.
For a free night out, the Downtown Dubai fireworks can usually be seen from the streets and open spaces around the Burj Khalifa, but the area closes to traffic early and fills up hours before midnight. In recent years some viewing zones have needed registration or paid access, so check Emaar’s announcements in December. Public beaches and promenades along the coast, such as JBR, usually catch other displays without a ticket, and Global Village runs several countdowns through the evening for the price of a standard entry ticket. Three money-saving tips: book in October or November before prices rise, compare what each ticket includes (some cheaper tickets are entry only, others include drinks), and plan to take the Metro rather than paying surge taxi fares after midnight.
How to book New Year’s Eve in Dubai
New Year’s Eve is the busiest night of the year for Dubai’s venues. The most popular parties and dinners often sell out or go up in price by early December, so it pays to book as soon as you have decided. Always compare what each ticket includes, check the start and finish times, and buy only through the official ticket link on each event page. ThingsToDo.ae lists every New Year’s Eve event with its venue, start time, starting price and official booking link, and we add new events every week.
Getting around on New Year’s Eve
Roads around Downtown Dubai and the coast close from the afternoon of 31 December, and taxis and ride-hailing apps are in high demand after midnight. The RTA usually extends Dubai Metro and tram hours for the night, so check its announcements closer to the date. Plan your route home before you go out, allow plenty of extra time, or book a hotel near your venue. New Year’s Day is a public holiday in the UAE, so there is no rush the next morning.
